FarDusty, I looked over this and I had a bit of a problem when I was installing the RAID driver. My problem was that I couldn't even have the system find the drivers. So I figured it out and here is what I did.
Ok, here is what you need to do. In the root directory of "A" the files that you...
It should be port 5190, but you can change that so you use 443, 80, 23 or anyone of those. You can, at least in Windows have AIM to autodetect which port is open. You do that by getting into preferences and got to connection and click on autoconfigure.
Hope this helps

I have put in 2 Crucial 512MB DDR PC2700 DIMMS with no overclocking and have not had a single ounce of problem. I dropped them right in and it booted the first time and XP loaded fine. I have loaded XP twice and I had no problems either time.
I hope this helps.
I have purchase the 8knxp board and I have enjoyed it ever since. I don't have much time to use it, but I have not had any problems with it. I'm using the RAID function, got a great video card and 1 gig of memory.
I put the board right into the chassis and it booted right up. I just had a...
Are you using RAID? Also need to have an idea of how the hard drives are connected and to which controler. How many hard drives do you have? Are they set to master and slave properly?
Let us know a bit more detail, because I had a reboot issue with my motherboard. I got it fixed.
Talk to...
dakals, I have a question. Have you read the 20 motherboard shoot out on the web site. I quickly glanced threw it to see how my motherboard, the Gigabyte GA-8KNXP stood up. I feel like it did very well.
I have a 2.8Ghz 533FSB processor in it and I have had no problems with it. I'm not doing...
Well I got a response back from Gigabyte. I think what needed to be changed was the boot order for the RAID controllers. They told me to put the ITESATA Raid as the first boot, then the GigaRAID and finally the Intel one. So far, from the test that I did on Friday evening, it seems fine.
So...
I don't know about the memory timing, but as far as memory I have a good idea. If you saw on the Anandtech website, they just had an article about the memory for the 875p/865p chipsets.
Here is the link http://www.anandtech.com/memory/showdoc.html?i=1828
I personally would say go with Crucial...
Are you using any virus scanning software? The reason I asked is because I had Norton Anti-Virus on a machine and when I disabled the e-mail scanning feature, I was not able to download my e-mails. Then I turned the scanning back on and everything worked fine.
I hope this helps.
I wasn't sure where to place this. I thought about motherboards, but I figured I might get a better response in Tech support. If it needs to be moved to Motherboards then we will put it there.
Here is my issue. My computer is working great and I have no problem booting it from a cold boot...
levivm, this sounds a bit similiar to my problem. When I cold boot my machine, it find the GigaRAID controller and will find the hard drives. However, when I warm boot my machine, the GigaRAID will not reinitialize and it won't find any disk to boot from. So I have to power down and restart...
:D Hey guys, I'm back. I just wanted to let you guys know about my weekend with my motherboard. I got the 8KNXP version. Well I was able to get everything going and flashed the BIOS to F5. I load the default then rebooted and then loaded Optimized. I left everything standard and I'm not...
Thanks for the reply. I checked last night and now the FSB is saying 133, so I figure that it's running at 533. So that seems to be taken care of. I will have to check this information when I get my system loaded on Saturday. I still have a lot of installing to do over the weekend. :D
I...
I got a couple of questions.
I just recently bought a Gigabyte 8knxp motherboard and so far I like it. I also bought an Intel 2.8 GHZ (533 FSB) processor. I got the motherboard to run and I left all the settings in the BIOS set to AUTO. I don't plan on overclocking at this time, but may do...
Hey everyone, just wanted to let you know that I got the 8knxp (Non-Ultra) board last night. I was able to install it and fired it right up. However, I ran out of time to work on it (bed time :frown;), but need my sleep ;) I was able to get it to see the memory.
I need to do a lot of wire...
