all of this over 50 bucks? It's an unfortunate situation, but I don't know that I'd waste this much time alerting the watchdogs of this injustice, just seems like beating a dead horse to me. I can't see news organizations really caring about this...you were screwed out of $50 by a now defunct...

How big is it? If it's a backpack or similar size you can carry it on, otherwise you'll have to check it at the gate just before you board the plane.
