Microsoft: Please stop moving the start button!!! My rant

So everyone has a theory on Microsoft keeps moving the start button: But I think I finally figured it out. Here is what happened: Bill gates hired a bunch of really smart engineers. Then when Balmer left they took their retirement payout and Balmer hired a bunch of idiots that could not...

How to broadcast wifi down block 300ft or so

Two thoughts: 1. Are you (and the other naysayers) on an ISP payroll? If not, you should at least at request a commission from them for all your hard work on their behalf. 2. Someone could hack my internet even if I were not sharing it and do something illegal. The defense is the same either...

How to broadcast wifi down block 300ft or so

So I have a friend/neighbor that I'm determined to share my internet with. There are two properties between us, and so far those two people have politely declined my request to run a wire through their back yards (but I'll bury it!!!). What would be the best way to transmit wifi that distance...

IP Conflict or just one network showing up on computer

Does anyone have any ideas what to do here? One of my computers will only show one random wireless network (there are like 10 available) and I will sometimes get messages related to an IP conflict. I've tried following command line instructions to reset your IP etc with no success. I have...

Does a 90 degree Displayport cable exist?

    It's a 34" LG Ultrawide http://www.amazon.com/LG-Electronics-34UM65-34-Inch-LED-Lit/dp/B00JR6GBHO/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1440960446&sr=8-3&keywords=lg+34&pebp=1440960450222&perid=00BEPRY6HF3GMCJVK6T1

Does a 90 degree Displayport cable exist?

Thanks I noticed that one but the problem is it still sticks out like two inches. I need one that makes an immediate 90 degree turn so it doesn't stick out into the wall. Stupid Displayport!!!

Does a 90 degree Displayport cable exist?

In other words, one that plugs into the port and then immediately takes a 90 degree turn downward. I need one to mount my monitor flush to the wall... But as far as I can tell nobody makes such a cable. That's crazy!!!

Clarkson suspended from Top Gear, new episode postponed

The show has become a little stale of late. It would be great timing for them all to leave the BBC and start a new car show together. They're still good just need to reinvent themselves and take a new direction, while keeping what works (basically the chemistry between the three hosts).

Help Me Pick Out a Used Big SUV Around 5K

http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/cto/4815162645.html That's a really good deal huh. So maybe I'll pick between a 2000–2006 Suburban, a 7.3 diesel excursion if I find a deal, or be an idiot and buy the Land Rover and have a useless car but look very cool.

Help Me Pick Out a Used Big SUV Around 5K

That's a good point on timing. I bet these low gas prices aren't helping my cause either. Since it doesn't seem to snow in Tahoe anymore, I guess the 4x4 is not a big deal.

Help Me Pick Out a Used Big SUV Around 5K

I agree, best deal out there. Trying to figure out a way to phrase this without ending up with a that's what she said, but can't. It's just so big. Unless you luck out they usually sell for a good 13-14k around here though. Do you really think the GM would be more reliable? The main appeal of...

Help Me Pick Out a Used Big SUV Around 5K

No but like I said my minivan is on the fritz, my other car is constantly under repair so I need a second car, and it seems like my van in filled to capacity, and then some, almost weekly, so I need the space. I did some more research and am thinking a 2004 Nissan Armada or Infinity QX56...

Help Me Pick Out a Used Big SUV Around 5K

This would mostly be for moving stuff. By stuff, think 4x8 sheets of plywood, other wood for construction projects, tools, furniture. That's the kind of stuff I currently use my minivan for, but I'm kind of bored with it, it needs some work, my friend really wants it, and let's face it, minivans...
