It seems the internal Wi-Fi upgrade will cost approximately $200 ($100 for the mini-PCI card, and $100 for the antenna cable). It may be better to stay with a poor reception PC card, which could be got at $20.
Is there a deal for the Ultrabay 2000 battery? The least I searched was around $120.
For memory, I only trust Kingston.
Is some program crashed, I don't want to be skeptical on memory first.
Also PC2700 is better.
So I will stick with newegg's $73 Kingston.
The documentation (press the 'thinkpad' on upper left keyboard) said there was a S-video converter cable shipped with the computer, but I didnot find any. Maybe IBM stopped doing a lot of things they usually do.;-)
BTW, as some one mentioned, it doesn't feel as heavy as it look.
This is brand new. When you get a refurb, you can tell.
It's a disapointement that it doesn't come with any CDs, but not big deal.
There's no valuable software you would want to back up.
For the OS, the CD is easy to get from whatever sources, the only
important thing is the serial number.
