Lindows

...so why bump it back to the top if you think it's unnecessary information?

Lindows

Okay, that I wasn't aware of. Just came across it last night accidentally while surfing a few sites for XPthemes and background images.

Thought I'd post it just in case :D

Not having Broadband here, I was trying to get the media shipped to me. $10 for media, plus shipping. The cheapest shipping was $6.50, and I noticed that Priority Mail was $30!!!!!

For several days now, when I move close to the top of the queue, my browser always times out. I thought a queueing system would prevent that by regulating bandwidth

I ordered the CD for $10 + $6.50 for 2-day Shipping on Saturday, 2-7-04.
It arrived today 2-11-04.

The package contained an "Order Summary" for $59.95 + $6.50 Shipping.
The bottom of the form stated, "This is NOT a Bill."
I phoned my credit card company and, sure enough,
I was only charged $16.50.

It's a retail box package.
The box is LindowsOS4.0 with a sticker stating 4.5 is enclosed.
It contains:
1 - LindowsOS 4.5 CD
1 - LindowsLive! CD
1 - LindowsOS 29-page "Guide"
----------> 17 pages of the guide go over their Click-and-Run program to get more software add-ons to LindowsOS.

The CD includes many Linux Progs, Open Office, Multimedia, Chat, games, Etc.

Wow, thank god for this thread. I got on this a few days ago and got the lindows live cd. I burned it but never played with it. Well, my hard disk just died and thanks to this lindows bootable cd I'm sort of back up untill I get a new hard drive.

Thanks.
