After searching around a bit, I found Silicon Lottery's statistics with the testing they have done with the 1700, the 1700x and the 1800X, showing the binning.

Care to explain why? the 1700x has 95W TDP vs the 1700's 65W and an extra 100 Mhz on turbo clocks which is not much especially since I will overclock.

Look into DigitalFoundry's tests on youtube. They have a few games they test out, but as I recall it really only helps for load times apart for Fallout 4 because of texture streaming.
