Hi,
I read a lot of reviews but can't make my self about which one I should get.
I need your expertise and knowledgement to help me out. The contenders
are:
Buffalo HP-G54 125g + Bufallo WLI-CB-G54S 125g
or
D-Link Wireless Kit 108g (DI-624+DWL-650)
or
Netgear WGB511 108g...
Is it possible? I just ordered my Abit NF7-S 2.0 and I'm thinking to order
an 120Gb HD to join to the current 60Gb HD. Here, SATA is only
US$5.00 more expensive than PATA. I read that there's no big
performance difference between them (Maxtor 7200/133/8Mb flavor).
I'm not a prophet, but I...
Guys,
I checked on Corsair's site and found out that the VS1GKIT400 is a
"Value Select Memory Module"and at the Corsair's support page they say that "it's either Cass 2.5 or Cass 3
we do not promise the SPD setting with Value select."
Can anyone tell me what performance percentage I will...
Help me to figure out what to do:
I have a Soyo Dragon+/XP2000+/Samsung PC2700DDR set. I decided upgrade
the Mobo to an Abit NF7-S ($120 at Fry's). As I have only $300, I'm
thinking about to get some memory and let the processor for 2004 -
I believe the prices will drop as 64bits get more...

I am so stupid !!!
As I cleaned up the CMOS, all bios settings were lost...
including FOC setup (which default is "enable").
My Heatsink's fan is a PAPST without rpm monitor. Mobo's FOC
considered that the fan was dead so it gave the "beeeeeeeep"
and shutdown in sequence to protect the...
Last night tests:
I changed CMOS battery...the same: powered up,
beeeeeped and auto power off
I tried ATX power connector from my friend's rig...idem
I simply remove memory stick...idem
I put my friend's memory stick...idem
I simply removed VGA card... idem

Hi!
Probably you read this same question a thousand times: I read somewhere that 98SE cannot address above
196Mb - more than this would be useless ? Is that true ?
Thanks in advance...
That's exactly my case : it's for a niece and she needs it for web surfing and school stuff. Yesterday, I discoverd that my brother has an unused Win98SE midia. I'll try the 98SE this weekend.
Thank you very much to all !
No jokes, please ! I know that its a Museum piece, maybe NASA
would be interested in purchase some parts of it but I want to know what
Windows OS (plus Office) could be installed on it and run stable.
No Linux. The performance (naturally) is not a concern.
Thanks in advance...
I put mem and video back at default speeds.
Changed FSB from 145 to 146.
The machine booted up,I surfed net, checked emails, ran some SETI@home(10minutes), handled some word/excel docs and everything seemed OK.
For testing, I started HotCPU and... aprox.12 minutes after the screen turned to...
Is there a "scientific" method to check if it is running "too hot". The Northbridge has a Fan on it.
What can I do to know about potential problems ?
Mr. PhoenixOfWater, thanks about the site. I'll not try those extreme OC's but they give a better view about possibilities.:)
