SATA and PATA simultaneously in a NFS-7 2.0

Is it possible? I just ordered my Abit NF7-S 2.0 and I'm thinking to order
an 120Gb HD to join to the current 60Gb HD. Here, SATA is only
US$5.00 more expensive than PATA. I read that there's no big
performance difference between them (Maxtor 7200/133/8Mb flavor).
I'm not a prophet, but I don´t think I'll go RAID for the next 2 years.
I don´t want to expend money with adapters (PATA => SATA). I just
need more space. But I know too that SATA is the future trend, so I ask:

If I bought a SATA, will it work with the old PATA one simultaneously ?
Will I have some issue with this move ?

Don't be shy, give your opinions.

Tks in advance!

The NF7-S has 2 IDE ports and 2 SATA ports. You can have 2 hard drives on the SATA ports and 4 IDE drive (HD's, CD-Roms, etc..) on teh IDE ch's and that is the max.

So get SATA HD's and leave the IDE ports open for DVD butner, etc... like I have done with my NF7-S :)
