Anyone got Win 8.1 and W10 RTM 10240 on dual boot to give gaming performance comparison ? Interested to see how the latest build fairs in comparison to W8.1.
According to Intel Desktop Compatibility Tool your board is compatible, just need to wait to see if Asrock release updated bios. http://processormatch.intel.com/Processors/CompatibleProcessors?componentName=Z87%20Pro3
I bet Intel have a cpu that is >100% IPC than Haswell arch. However, they will continue to release cpus every 12mths with ~5% IPC , all to milk the market for what it's worth. My OC'd haswell will be fine till 2016 (at the very least), I will not play the intel milking game. :D
I dropped ~15C @ load when I did my 4770K using CL Liquid Pro which was about the same drop as my 3770Ks. Be careful of those resistors on the pcb , I covered them with a couple coats of nail enamel.
Thought I knicked the die when I did mine (focusing on the resistors too much), fortunately...
Just enjoy the cpu , it is one of the most powerful cpu available and will eat through with ease any program you throw at it. Whether you have even temps or odd wont matter for real-world usage, and you should only really concern yourself with the highest core temp anyway.
There may be a...

I think many other forums could learn a thing or two from this forum. :)
Well some CL Liquid pro arrived couple days ago so I got to work immediately to install it as I was curious about the results of this TIM. Also bought some Permatex black silicone adhesive to glue IHS back on so that IHS wouldn't slide when I installed cpu into socket.
So after wetting both...
Nice tip IDC , Im coming from X58 so didnt know about 'PLL overvoltage'. I incorrectly assumed it was only needed if you set PLL over 1.8v, but after doing some reading it is actually a setting that ramps up with clocks if enabled.
I managed to drop vcore because of it from 1.325v to 1.305 in...
Well I ended up de-lidding my 3770K a couple days ago. I used a single sided razor blade, and I gotta tell ya, I nearly pulled out of the task when I saw how difficult it was to get the blade in-between the IHS and pcb. I kept rocking the blade in the corners and eventually got the hang of it...
My concern is the Liquid Pro dripping down out of the cpu and causing a short.
Mite have to get some black rubber epoxy and seal up the bottom and sides at least so if any escapes it stays inside the IHS.
Another concern is the Liquid Pro itself and how it is applied. From what I've read...
Sounds like bad mount or pump not working.
Check mount by taking off and looking at paste spread. Not sure about H100 as I dont own 1, but Im guessing if you put your ear to it you should hear the pump.
