Odd 3770k Temperatures.

So I have a 3770k, albeit not a great clocker (it is delidded though). At the moment the best I can do without stupidly high voltage levels is 4.3 at 1.225v. On a custom water loop with a 240mm radiator and an xspc raystorm block my second core is CONSISTENTLY 10 degrees warmer than the next warmest core (68 and 58 degrees respectively). I'm using NTH-1 between the IHS and die and between the block and IHS. I have tried repasting the CPU multiple times and nothing seems to work...Is there any fix for this?

You could try a bare-die mount.

I have one core showing 13c now as I type room temps 25c levels out over 50c,you know they only guess vie software at what your 3rd party software shows. they are set for 105c when they hit that _-do this[downclock] been they way from core 2. never design for sub high limit monitoring.
don't loose sleep over it.

Just enjoy the cpu , it is one of the most powerful cpu available and will eat through with ease any program you throw at it. Whether you have even temps or odd wont matter for real-world usage, and you should only really concern yourself with the highest core temp anyway.

There may be a great variety in temps and vcore but at the end of the day you got the same cpu and will perform about the same. Just keep you max core temp in check and actually enjoy using the cpu.

Liquid Static. I have the same mb and cpu combination. I did not delid the cpu and I use a Thermaltake water 2.0 Extreme cooler with NTH-1 tp. Mine is actually now at 4.5 ghz and my temps are slightly higher but in the ball park.

First, do you have your vcore set to auto? Second what setting is the load line calibration? Finally, I use a combo of software to test stabilit. Aida64, OCCT, Prime95 and Intel's own software utility to test stability.

Let your system run a few days at your settings to let everything setup. I think your temps are within reason. Is your Igpu disabled? One core usually runs a little hotter. If your hottest core is 68 you are doing VERY well.

P.S. What software are you using to measure temps? I use Aida64 (licensed version) and HWMonitor Pro (licensed version).

This used to happen with my chip, for me it stopped happening after I started using MX4 instead of Arctic Silver 5, now they are all within 1c of each other.

nt-h1 isn't a good long term product for under the ihs, it will fail quickly (trust me, I did it 3 times before I swapped to liquid ultra).

The cores will never be the same temp (the die is asymmetric and each core has a different cooling profile because of that) and a 10C difference is not unheard of.

Room temp 75f maximum temps are highest 56,55,63,52c at 40% load with Arctic Céramique wc.
I would cut down the ihs to reduce your gap.
I would put a scratch on the outside of the ihs then polish the bottom till you get close to the scratch.

I know I need 1.31+volts to be stable @ 46-47 so even if I delidded I know I will need to be close to 1.3volts.
Once I go above 1.31-134v every thing becomes more stable on my 3770k.
I believe to many people here are keeping there voltage on the low side to help with there cooling.

OK, so I'll try polishing out the bottom lip of the IHS to reduce the gap a bit! I know 68 degrees is FINE, but the other cores all sit at 58 so its like >< ugh. Ferzerp, what do you mean it will fail? I don't want anything to break (although I don't see how it could)...and I know I am a bit low on the voltage, what are your guys' opinions on going higher, to 1.3 or so?
