I find it odd that anyone could see the PS3 as the "winnar" in an argument about developers harnessing the full power of a platform.

If you're having problems downloading from Steam, check the settings under Downloads and ensure your region is set to something sane. For some odd reason, mine sporadically sets itself to Shanghai and other wacky regions where I get under 100kb/s. Almost anywhere in the US gives me at least...

That's... almost exactly how Borderlands works. Weapons and artifacts determine a lot -- that's why they put so much effort into the random weapon generator. Skills are mostly passive.

OK, now compare turning on a flashlight to booting up your PS3. But first put your PS3 in the trunk of your car and throw the car keys in a lake. Bonus points if it's a waterproof flashlight that you can use to help you locate your keys in the murky water!

My point was that, for anyone using lack of money as an excuse to pirate games, tacking on another $10 to the price isn't going to have a positive effect. To be honest, I can see a lot of people pirating MW2 out of spite alone because of it.

MP didn't do anything for me. Might as well have been Quake with better graphics and a retarded spawn system. But, as I said, for what it is it's not a bad game and I can see how other people would gladly spend $60 for more. I won't because it's just not my thing.

$60? Nope. I got 6 hours out of COD4's campaign... 6 hours of linear, simplistic on-rails arcade gameplay. It wasn't a bad game for what it was by any stretch of the imagination - I just didn't feel like I got my money's worth.

Don't expect Steam to do anything; they have a strict policy of no returns, even if the game is completely broken. Your CC issuer will handle it, though.

I could see how someone who's never played the mod would say it looks similar to L4D, but it's really not. Different pace and atmosphere - different game altogether. The mod was fun but definitely suffered from a lack of polish so I'm looking forward to seeing what Tripwire can do with this.
