    E4300 >> Q6600

I upgraded from the E4300 on the ga 965p s3 (3.3) and it was as simple as swapping them out.... my e4300 at 3240 was fast. the q6600 ar 3150 is just as fast, but will not lag, even in vid editing. would runn a 4 pass cce encode of a dvd with the e4300 and have to walk away for the duration...

Quad Vs Duo Which is best for games??

well if you are talking just heads up, not factoring in price, then the OX9650. if we are going to factor in price then I would say E8400. We really dont have any games that push the ability of Quad core right now, but in time who knows. I chose quad cause I do vid editing stuff, right now Im...

Question about my q6600 GO overclock

great article, thanks. this is kinda the reason i dont like setting my vcore near the recommende threshold. if intel says 1.55 i say 1.45, therefore if the article is accurate my peak voltage should stay below the 1.55 mark, right now im at 1.39 (bios 1.375) because while running ur...

Coretemp and CPUID Hardware monitor temp reading differences

I prefer just using 1 program. You should be able to verify it by looking in you bios, seeing your cpu temp, then loading a program and seeing which is closest. do a google search on "E2160 Temps" it seems that loaded, 70 is the comfort zone, lower is better, higher and its getting a bit hot...

Question about my q6600 GO overclock

Sounds good to me. The Vcore issue is called vdrop, when ur cpu loads up to 100% the vcore will back off, its an intel thing. Mine is 1.375 in bios, 1.39 (cpu-z) and goes down to 1.31 when loaded. the tJunction temps are what you are refering to, and they sound very good, tCase (Processor...

Is Intel e4300 at $105 US a good deal compared to other options ?

I wouldnt discount the entire series of P965 boards on that. Many of us have had great results. I do agree that the P35 is a better more up to date board. I would still look to see what results with cpu/motherboard combos look most rewarding. check this 1GHz or more Club at OC.net 5...

Is Intel e4300 at $105 US a good deal compared to other options ?

2.5 is a bit of an understatement. I have ran my E4300 at 3240MHz (3.24GHz) for over a year. thats with good cooling, voltage increase etc.... you can probly be at 3.0 (334x9) easy on stock volts and cooling on the right motherboard, the GA-P965 S3 or DS3 are great boards for this. Otherwise...

Which CPUs best for overclocking? seein da price...

I guess it depends on what you are looking for, lowest price/best potential (aboved mentioned 2160) or if your talking lowest price/highest clocks (E8400 can achieve 4.0 or better) Personally I would go with a lower priced cpu, 3GHz+ is very impressive on a 130$ or less cpu. Im completely...
