Coretemp and CPUID Hardware monitor temp reading differences

I just upgraded to E2160 and downloaded both Core Temp and CPUID Hardware Monitor.
Coretemp shows my Idle cpu temps as about 25/26 at idle, where as Hardware monitor reports them to be around 39/40ish
With a decent load, Coretemp goes upto about 35/35, and HM goes up to 49/50ish...

What the heck is going on!!? Oh and the temp readings inside the bios seem to agree with the Core temp readings...?

Is there a program where I can monitor NB and SB readings? TIA

I prefer just using 1 program. You should be able to verify it by looking in you bios, seeing your cpu temp, then loading a program and seeing which is closest.

do a google search on "E2160 Temps" it seems that loaded, 70 is the comfort zone, lower is better, higher and its getting a bit hot. from your post it seems fine.

cpu wiz will monitor you tCase and tJunction tJunction is the core temp, which will be higher, tCase (Processor Temp) is the one you dont want going to high.

hope this helps

You can also try Realtemp which seems to get somewhat of an accurate reading. And you can adjust it. It's hard to find any reliable temp reading programs for new CPU's these days.
