You're just pissy because you never got over our private ownership of guns helping to kick your ass off out of our country.

No. We won that fight, as a result you guys ended up as the USA, we ended up as the UK. Thus we win (but that's a subject for another thread)

Thank you, I'm not looking for an argument, I literally just answered the OP and the vultures came out.

I disagree with your opinion with all of my heart but that doesn't mean that you shouldn't be able to voice your opinion.

Some people get very butt hurt when they realize that freedom of speech is usually geared towards people you don't want to hear speak.

People around here wouldn't have a problem with his freedom of speech if less of it were of the yelling fire in a crowded theater variety.

no its not. He said his piece, no need to give him grief.

Count how many times he's posted since he entered the thread. He doesn't say his peace. He enters and argues with everyone. (Under the guise of "Well guys... I'm just responding") There is a well documented track record of HAL entering threads and crapping them all up. Go look at the zombie thread FFS.

I agree, people are free to disagree with me, it doesn't require insults for them to do that.

You think that me posting "I disagree with gun ownership" in a thread entitled "In one sentence describe why you are for or against gun ownership" equates to shouting fire in a crowded theatre...?! 🙄

I only reply to people who ask me direct questions (with the exception of this post as I felt it was important to defend myself against your drivel)

I'm fine with private ownership of guns. I'm also fine with background checks and closing the loopholes that exist in current gun laws allowing citizens to sell firearms privately completely circumventing the gun laws for new firearms in this country...as though used firearms are somehow less deadly than new ones or it somehow isn't their responsibility to ensure their guns don't end up in the hands of criminals.

I'm against gun owners acting like complete tools and I'm against overly paranoid idiots owning guns but there really isn't any way to legislate against that.

Yup, I agree with that 100%.

I think that people should be able to own guns, only *after* they've proven their ability to properly operate one.

I don't think it's a *right*, but that idea has been so ingrained into our culture that I wouldn't even attempt to dislodge it.

I personally can not see myself ever owning one. Maybe when the kids are grown and gone.

What helped me is I now picture him as the flight attendant that jumped down the chute with a beer in hand, but also yelling "TALLY HO!!!" as he slides down.

Can't hate a guy that does that.

Because private ownership of firearms is retarded, unnecessary and results in deaths.

Against car ownership also? Go take a look at the staggering statistics of people being killed by cars. I am MUCH more afraid of being killed by some idiot's car than I am by a gun, and statistically much more likely to be.

If you want to be against something stop being a sheep and spouting anti-gun rhetoric and be against something that REALLY endangers the general public.

Just sayin'....

My answer to the actual topic: I am for gun ownership because I am a crabby little old lady with a bad arm which would make beating an intruder to death a slow process and then I might miss bingo.

I'm against car ownership if the owner has not been qualified to drive a car.

I wasn't necessarily talking about your original post in this thread.....

The majority of your library of "work" here is what gets people fed up with your trolling.
