True, but cars are modes of transport not weapons. There is a valid reason to own a car other than to kill someone, guns kill, you can't use a gun for anything else that requires private ownership. Cars are primarily used to transport people, but accidents happen. Guns are primarily used to kill people, and they don't require any kind of test to own one (in America) crazy talk. Vehicles aren't meant to be used to kill. there is a valid reason to own them. Guns are meant to kill, they have no valid reason to be owned.

AFAIK In the US firearms are primarily used for sporting/collection.

Yes we did.

And do you really think there's no responsible gun owners?

I own guns and I've never shot a living thing. u mad?

I don't own guns, but I've shot and killed many, many living things. Some I ate and enjoyed immensely...humans on the other hand aren't so tasty...so I just killed them and either left them where they laid, or craftily hid the bodies to avoid detection.

I'm not the least bit ashamed of having been a hunter of wildlife or humans. (hunting humans is far better sport though...especially when they're hunting you back)

Can we lose the stupid images? It makes it hard to keep up with how the trolling is going.

A plethora of stupid people in America who have guns, sounds like a brilliant f*cking idea.

I firmly believe that stupidity should hurt. I like knowing that I have the means to deal with the criminally stupid.

That quote isn't out of context. A comma separates two independent clauses.

There is no comma before "bear".

It *is* out of context, as it is not the entire sentence, and does not convey its entire message. Regardless of how many clauses there are.

At the very least:

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State,..."

is *not* a complete clause, so I don't see how the second portion of the amendment could be taken on its own.

Again man, I'm not trying to "pry your guns" or anything.

Because the armed defense militia is necessary and power corrupts, the rights of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

The founders had just overthrown an oppressive government that tried to control them by confiscating their guns. They knew what they were saying in that statement. It was to prevent this new government from doing the same thing as the previous one.

I've never understood the "collective rights" bs people go on about with the Bill of Rights. It's quite clear that they used the word "people" to be plural "person" rather than use it to refer to us collectively as a group.

In Iowa, we only require a driver's license and have concealed carry law...

What do I win?

I'm against possessing guns since so many so called accidents happen with legally obtained guns.

Private gun owners help keep deer population under control to keep bobcats out of your backyard.

To clarify, iowa's law and the law that my wife enforces are 2 different things...

She didn't grow up with guns and and is pretty fearful of them being in our home..

But I'm working on that..

I've probably killed about 100,000 people in Counter-Strike, does that count? :awe:
