Yay, RDNA 3.5 is the new Vega
I mean, it's not bad. Vega was available from dirty cheap to premium, so I assume RDNA 3.5 will be the same. AMD needs to have better availability of their designs at the bottom of stack.

Competitiveness though, 16CU feels it will barely handle against PTL 12 Xe³. Increasing shader count doesn't feel likely, so I guess AMD will take the gains of N2 and speed optimize the routing of RDNA 3.5 even further for increased clocks.

So what are current thoughts on overall IPC (throughput/MHz) increase for ST for Zen 6?

Are there still some who are going to make outlandish claims like they "invented the question mark" and that Zen 6 will be +30% ST over Zen 5?

My thought is 1.11x SPECint 2017 1T + 300MHz. So 1.16x overall.

Based on a single slide and my hopeless optimism that clock rate will increase even for desktop.

I think the 1.1 is a very solid prediction. 5.7GHz>6GHz seems like a stretch though.
