That's coz DDR5 itself is confusing. I have a EXPO DDR5 kit with a JEDEC 5600 profile and it refuses to run any faster than 4600 on my Z790/12700K. I think coz it's got lame Samsung memory chips. Training also happens on Intel side. For me, it takes around 40 seconds to boot. First time training was almost 100 seconds or more. But if I were to install two more sticks, the first time training may take up to 3 minutes or more and subsequent ones may go over one minute. Some mobo makers have put stickers on their RAM slots telling users to expect up to 7 minutes of staring at a blank screen while the mobo trains 4 sticks of DDR5. It's stupid.
A small number of DDR5 systems and motherboards require a period of "training" newly installed memory to work with the system and allow access to the UEFI, or otherwise to complete the system's power-on self-test (POST).

But I also experienced this training thing with ASUS H610M mobo with DDR4 where the screen was blank for more than 30 seconds and I was like, what did I do wrong???
