I've gone from 1.3V to 1.25V just to see if there was a performance increase. Didn't see any. Haven't tried 1.15V yet. Wasn't sure if system would remain stable. Suppose I could give it a shot. My FCLK can't go above 2066MHz. Probably don't need high SOC voltage.
Tried it.

Don't do it.

It lasted approximately 0.0135 seconds in Prime95 before blue screening.

That was a fun experiment.

After scratching my head for almost one week i finally found the guilty of my problems, responsible random restarts when running memory heavy benchmarks, and it turns out, alittle performance throttling in some heavy workloads..

In the end it was the 2200mhz FCLK that was the root cause... And after that everything is behaving as expected again when limited to 2166mhz ;)
And now i finally feel comfortable sharing stable memory settings :)

And some of the memory benchmark numbers from the latest run: (will have to do new runs @ non-throttling 2166/6600 in future)

I get memory errors on my config at 1.2V or lower. The default EXPO 1.25VSOC seems stable. I'm running 2067/6200C28 tuned timings.

I'm waiting for the 7800X3D to be released. :)
Me too!! Anyone know the ETA release release date for the 7800x3d??
I picked up a second mobo/cpu combo this weekend. this time went with the 7700x and the Gigabyte x670 Aorus Elite AX.
This will hold me over till I can get my hands on a 7800x3d to replace the 7700x with it.

... Until LN2 guys start benching :p
I don't see the 7950X3D or any X3D really being a a CPU for people that only do overclocking and benchmarking. It's not going to set records in synthetics.

It's a gaming CPU for gaming first and foremost.

I get it though, it's your hobby and I can respect that.

ASUS TUF B650-PLUS is the best value. (Alternative: MSI B650 Tomahawk) If money is no object then either ASUS B650-E or Gigabyte B650E Aorus Master.
