Controlled glue failureLike i showed in the picture above, i was giving the memory sticks a bath in thinner (aceton) to make the glue come off..![]()

Most importantly, fugly as hellThanks, but too much money, and no airflow. I got the R5, and I think it will work. If not, its amazon, and I can return it.
I am using this
But I am going to write a new Application with QML to read the data from the SMU kernel driver and have a proper GUI like on Windows with HWInfo (If I don't find one by the time Zen4 launches)![]()

I have actually written one service which reads the data and send to GRPC to my RPi with a display attached to my transparent side panel, I have one app on my Smartphone also showing the Stats on Android App via WiFi and now I will write one for natively showing on the Linux Desktop.
Seems I got too much time on my hands.
I saw you provided the PP tables for 5600X in that repo, very nice. Author has not abandoned the project. The program layout looks broken for me in KDE terminal. I've reported an issue long ago but the author seem to abandon the project.
Non-issue with this: https://www.startech.com/en-eu/cables/usbps2pcI found out i would need a new keyboard as well, as the new mobos dont have p/s port anymore.

Its fine, ill be on hynix a die soon enoughDetOx - are you MIXING TWO DIFFERENT THERMAL PASTES?! You know the composition of each of them? Are you a chemical expert so that you are able to say, how are they going to react with each other?
You used 10 times more paste than needed too.
It is a MESS.![]()
What do you do with the systems that don't excite you anymore?Btw i'm pretty sure i will end up with 2 AM5 systems in the end as i'm already starting to see what i want to upgrade to when it get released later:
7950x3d
Hynix a die
B650E APEX
And maybe a ATX 3.0 psu to go with new graphic card![]()
So this is my backup in case the 6600 cl 34 does not fitSlowly working on a parts list:
Case: FormD T1 v2
PSU: Corsair SF750
Cooler: Corsair H100i Pro XT (Probably)
Memory: 64 GB of DDR5 6400 CL32 (if I can find it)
GPU: Undecided. Might stick with my 3090 if it fits. Will be watching out for the new GPU generation to drop, however.
Storage: I have no idea. Waiting on PCIE Gen 5 Storage to drop. Would like at least 4TB drive.
Motherboard: Not making that decision for a while. Need to see what other mini-ITX options drop. Only 1 board confirmed so far, and it doesn't have onboard sound. I don't want a dongle.
CPU: 7950X
I might create a thread to post detailed benchmarks, thermals, sound measurements when I get this sucker built.
I should probably start a new thread in the memory section but this does apply to building both new gens of cpus, especially ddr4 for 13th gen. As usual, new systems, new ram as it were and speed/stability issues abound for all.Normally i dont really watch this clown, but this video was actually informative:
tldr for those who dont want to watch the video:

- He is getting much better numbers with 2x32GB vs 2x16GB at the same timings..
- 2x32GB @ 6333MT/s is matching 2x16GB @ 6800MT/s in benchmarks/games
- 49ns @ only 6333MT/s (which is very good for Alder Lake)
I'm a bit curious how the Zen4 memory controller will handle 2x16GB hynix m-die together with 2x16GB hynix a-die at the same time.
Belive it or not, on Zen3 i found it to be easier to run 4x8GB than 2x16GB and data seem to back it up also..
Maybe I'm already all set with dual (quad) rank![]()
The 7600X would like to have a word with Hardware Unboxed. And soon, the 7800X3D will bring that entire debate to a close if the 7600X can't.TLDR: DDR4 is still better for gaming.
1)There's no date for announced for Genoa-X. the only leaked slide (by adored) shows it's in Q1 2023, so expect 7000X3D around that time.5800X3D was launched around the same time as Milan-X, right? If Genoa is launching in Q4 2022, will that mean the 7800X3D is launching in Q4 of 2023? 8950X and 7800X3D in the same time frame?
Q1 2022 Milan-X ( end of march in tom's article )
Q2 2022 Milan-X defects for Client ( april in AT's article )
