Lian-Li has some great and good lookng cases, but that one is not one of them.

I envy you getting your parts already. I am going to have it complicated and whole process may even slip into next year.

EDIT: on topic of PSU for the new build, since i want 2x 4090 (or 4090 + keeping 3090) alongside zen4, i was thinking seasonic prime px1600w platinum. Turns out, it still has only 8pins for pci-e, and apparently, per wccftechs article from today, the adapter from the new 600w connector on the card to 3x 8pins on psu might not be exactly safe.

Seasonic is prepping new Vertex psus with that new connector, but they top at 1200W and have only single one of those (whereas i would possibly need 2 for 2 cards)… what to do now? Do you reckon some cards will stick to 3x8pin instead of the new connector, so no adapter to older type psu would be needed?

Things are getting more complicated each passing day, lol. I found out i would need a new keyboard as well, as the new mobos dont have p/s port anymore. Now its the least of the issues, but it keeps adding up.

But I am going to write a new Application with QML to read the data from the SMU kernel driver and have a proper GUI like on Windows with HWInfo (If I don't find one by the time Zen4 launches)
I have actually written one service which reads the data and send to GRPC to my RPi with a display attached to my transparent side panel, I have one app on my Smartphone also showing the Stats on Android App via WiFi and now I will write one for natively showing on the Linux Desktop.
Seems I got too much time on my hands.

The program layout looks broken for me in KDE terminal. I've reported an issue long ago but the author seem to abandon the project.

I saw you provided the PP tables for 5600X in that repo, very nice. Author has not abandoned the project.
Anyway, I made one GUI already using QML, once the PP tables are there I should be able to support Zen 4.
Same code can be made to run on RPi4 feeding a side Display with data fetched on GRPC.

At some point accessories, like https://www.amazon.com/DGZZI-Adapter-Female-Converter-Keyboard/dp/B095GW6FSZ/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=ps2+to+usb+adapter&qid=1662892101&sr=8-3 were included (but I can't remember with what).

By the look of things atleast 6400MT/s is no problem on this platform

You used 10 times more paste than needed too.

Its fine, ill be on hynix a die soon enough
Both pastes are Noctua NT-H1 + NT-H2 and when your aren't 100% sure on the clearances its better to use more than ample, and just remove the overspill after..
(overflowing paste was cleaned with qtips and alcohol after = no mess was made )

Btw i'm pretty sure i will end up with 2 AM5 systems in the end as i'm already starting to see what i want to upgrade to when it get released later:

Normally i dont really watch this clown, but this video was actually informative:

tldr for those who dont want to watch the video:

• He is getting much better numbers with 2x32GB vs 2x16GB at the same timings..
• 2x32GB @ 6333MT/s is matching 2x16GB @ 6800MT/s in benchmarks/games
• 49ns @ only 6333MT/s (which is very good for Alder Lake)

I'm a bit curious how the Zen4 memory controller will handle 2x16GB hynix m-die together with 2x16GB hynix a-die at the same time.

Belive it or not, on Zen3 i found it to be easier to run 4x8GB than 2x16GB and data seem to back it up also..

Maybe I'm already all set with dual (quad) rank

I should probably start a new thread in the memory section but this does apply to building both new gens of cpus, especially ddr4 for 13th gen. As usual, new systems, new ram as it were and speed/stability issues abound for all.

1)There's no date for announced for Genoa-X. the only leaked slide (by adored) shows it's in Q1 2023, so expect 7000X3D around that time.
2)5800X3D is not defects, it's a perfectly working 8 of 8 cores, one of which can reach 4.5 GHz. Top boosting part in "Milan-X" line has 2 of 8 cores active per CCD, and 3.8GHz max.
