I mean defect as in it uses higher voltages to maintain the same clocks per chiplet. 5950X uses less voltage ( greater v/f curve ) to maintain 4.9 than a 5800X does. They're not putting the best chips on a 5800X3D compared to the Epyc equivalent.1)There's no date for announced for Genoa-X. the only leaked slide (by adored) shows it's in Q1 2023, so expect 7000X3D around that time.
2)5800X3D is not defects, it's a perfectly working 8 of 8 cores, one of which can reach 4.5 GHz. Top boosting part in "Milan-X" line has 2 of 8 cores active per CCD, and 3.8GHz max.
