How reliable is the Wiire? An interesting idea but without any hard drive there's just not going to be any space unless the game disks are rewritable or something...which is just ridiculous.

512 mb internal space with SD Cards.. remember the Virtual Console games have to be saved somewhere too

Well this is a little surprising, considering most Zelda games usually don't last that long unless you really waste time goofing around and exploring seeing as how the game play / puzzles / enemies usually follow a familiar formula making it less difficult for veterans of the series.

I'm definitely getting a Wii; although if games such as Gears of War keep coming out for 360 I may eventually have to pick one up as well.

Tooks the words from mouth (keyboard) .

The Wiire is actually using a GamePro interview as the source.

GP: How long is Twilight Princess?

Harrison: There are 70+ hours of gameplay -- it's significantly longer than Windwaker.

GP: What sorts of online features are you looking forward to in the future?

Harrison: Downloadable content, such as additional levels.

GP: Any plans for any type of post-release online component for Twilight Princess?

Harrison: I haven't heard of anything yet. I think everyone is still busy trying to make sure the game gets out correctly.
I'm a little confused by these comments. I think Harrison is saying that Zelda doesn't have any downloadable levels planned yet, but they're hoping to create them eventually. Or maybe not.

How is the Wii going to store Downloadable levels?

The Wii has 512MB internal memory. This is nice, as I do not need to buy any memory cards (never owned an Xbox). SD cards can be used as well and they are cheap.

I am on the third temple and I am close to 20 hours. I am not sure how many temples there are (perhaps like 8 or 9?). Like others said, I really wish Nintendo would have taken advantage of Wii's larger medium and use orchestrated music instead of midi and have some voice. The sound is so N64 like.

This arguement has been everywhere, but what people forget is that this was an intentional move. It doesn't have the grandiose sound of an orchestra but it allows for the music to move and flow based on different events that happen in real time. If you get in a fight the music changes, it morning comes and it changes, etc. MIDI makes that possible.

 I just bought a 2 GB SD card from Buy.com for $30 - $10 Google Checkout = $20 (and there's a $5 rebate that I probably won't even bother with).

I don't think I quite understand your argument. There are a lot of games that are able to change music on the whim and flow with orchestrated score depending on the mood/situation. The fact is, the game is a GC port with Wii features tacked on. GC's limiting disc is the main culprit. I just wish Nintendo would have taken advantage of Wii's new features to make it more "Wii exclusive."

im 44 hours in the game, 6 out of 9 dungeons completed, just started the 7th. done a lot of sidequests, so this should probably take me around 60-70 hours to completely beat.

oh, and as a hint: do NOT go for all 60 poes. just go for 20 and stop there. i saw the reward for getting all 60 poes and quite frankly, it BLOWS.

one last thing...dungeon 7 is completely awesome and is unlike anything ive seen before.

Man I cant wait to start playing this. Im not going to start until I find some component cables. Until then, I hope Wii Sports and trauma center can get me through.
