Good, let them kill each other off, we can do a mop up action and then take the oil once and for all
Mop up? We have 125,000 troops right in the middle of it.
Yeah and if a civil war breaks out our troops should not get involved. Once the civil war is near the end we attact the to be victor who ever it might be.
If our troops don't get involved, Iraq will devolve into an unstable nation. That is the opposite of what our government wants. Believe me, troops will be involved and will be killed.
And for what?
Where are my WMDs?
Where is the oil?
Yes we got saddam, but I want some true Spoils of war.
88 Billion bucks to fix Iraq yet we have some major issues here at home still.
This guys straight-forward.
Well any war should have a direct benifit for the winner. Iraq's resoruces should be long to the United States(Or the Confederation of Mobile/Exxon, Texaco and Shell; depending on your view point) pre WW2 the winners of a conflict kept the land aquired during the war(Same was true with Israel in the 40's and 60s) but todays mentallity of bomb, bomb and bomb some more, rebuild and return the land and resources to the losers is crazy.
The world will get a big wake up call when a true Imperialist comes to power, not these Punks like Saddam or or Milsovich(spelling?). I'm sure when China attacks Taiwan or North Korea attacks the south they will not return any land they win, they will do some olf fassion raping and pillaging of the losers resources.
For the record I did support the war with Iraq, When they "had" WMDs, but this is B.S. now.
Yes, I imagine you'd get a lot of historians to back you up on how the world worked pre-WWII. Although they'd probably be all annoying and point out that that attitude after WWI is widely considered a cheif cause of WWII. But hey, only a few million people died, so no biggie, right?
I swear, the problem with history isn't that no one knows it, it's that they don't understand it.
