I am considering posting a mini-review of my latest project: Gigabyte GA-G41MT-D3.

So far its been a solid system. Unfortunately, the only cpu I have is a P4 630 prescot.

I am still doing some stability and performance tests.

I don't know how much more help I can be, because I no longer have this motherboard.

silent/low power operation is a goal

Have you considered a new platform? The Intel 32nm CPUs on default settings are lower power draw with higher performance than the old 65nm quads, plus under idle/EIST conditions are probably an order of magnitude less. For instance my wife's Sandy Bridge quad with GTX 470 idled around 62W or so for the entire system! Dual core Core i3 Clarkdales can idle around 30W using IGP.

Thx for the help anyway, since i got crazy taxation policies here in my country, it would be difficult for me now to upgrade now.... I would expect to get some sandy bridge awesomeness pretty soon tho, if i somehow successfully figure this under/overvolt problem out, ill make sure i post here..
