While I am not familiar with this particular desk. I recently purchased the z-line Legacy Glass L-Desk ( Item 502739 ) which appears to be very similar.
The desk could be built so either the left or right houses the 'wing.'

Had it before replacing it with something that didn't melt and was safe for my kids and dogs.
