Yuengling that good? The first time I ever heard about it I thought it was a chinese beerI live in Philly so I have access... maybe I'll try it sometime.
I think Yuengling is pretty comparable to Fat Tire. They're both good.
How Macro is it? Never seen it at any bars or liquor stores or markets any where here in Cali.
It pretty much makes it from NY down to Florida on the east coast, but only a few states in off the coast. Kind of limited in that aspect, which is a shame. I'm just happy it's finally showing up here in GA. Sells for a nice price and tastes pretty good too!![]()
Yeah, I really haven't seen it anywhere off of the east coast, which is unfortunate.![]()
Fat Tire is A: not as Macro as Yuengling
B: So outrageously heavy it isnt funny.
What does it take to be Macro? New Belgium is distributed by Coors and available in a fair number of states....more than Yuengling I think.
I guess I don't find it that heavy. But then, since I can't get Yuengling out here, my memory of the two could just be fuzzy.
I agree with this thread 100%
I can't imagine comparing Fat Tire to Yeungling, yet alone any other New Belgium style...
They seem to only sell the Lager and Black & Tan around here. How are the rest?
Premium, Porter, and Chesterfield Ale?
you deserve no such beer, you heathen!
psh, a Native having never heard of what is most surely nectar brewed by FSM himself?! Away with you
You live in Philly and you've never had Yuengling? D: HEATHEN!
But yeah, Yuengling is definitely the best bang for the buck.
No they dont, they have 60 and 90... Ohio does not allow beers with ABV of over 15% iirc... hence 120 is not legal...
have not had the theobroma, do need to find it though... shall check at The Andersons...
ygpm fyi
I could have sworn I saw the 120min at Andersons in Toledo. And I thought I saw it at a local import store here in Columbus. Might have seen the 90 and just thought I saw the 120. I know it was a 4pk, but I think the 90min is a 4pk as well.
And these laws of legal limits for a beer's ABV is just ridiculous. So what if the percentage approaches weak liqueurs, that makes it dangerous or something? What about 40% ABV products? ridiculous.
woah, totally just went on a wiki adventure. That was wild.![]()

if you are talking about the one w/ tony pakos in it, on the corner of the two streets i cant remember... no it does not, 60 and 90 yes... 120 no... never have seen 120 other than in Indiana... that Andersons has one hell of a selection however.
Yeah that's one, on the corner of Monroe and Talmadge, near the Olive Garden.
Just discovered this place and their insane selection.
Right down Talmadge too, by the IHOP, is Joe's Beverage Center, and they have a massive beer collection too. Pretty similar collections I might say, I think Joe's might have more foreign beers but Anderson's might win with more locals.
My dad took me there recently and I was like a kid in a candy store.
I'm going to have to make a trip to the one here in Columbus one of these days to see if their selection is comparable.
I've only been in Philly for two and a half years... mostly raised in Ohio/Cleveland. Not to mention I'm not 21 yetI've never really been a fan of beer. I've tried to develop the taste for it but it's not really working out for me.
The only good beer Ive ever had was from a local brewer. Something like 28proof. You couldent taste the alcohal at all. If this stuff is anything like that Ill have to find some.
