That is totally ridiculous. You're talking about things that are specific to the female anatomy -- ELECTRONICS are products for consumers, male and female (you should take a look around my house, I have more gizmos than most men).

Now if the guys were in there talking about their ball sacs, prostates, and sperm, then that's a different story. And I do believe men understand periods, birth control (that's a female only topic? yikes), and child birth, otherwise males wouldn't be allowed to be OB/GYN doctors. Just because they don't experience periods or child birth doesn't mean they're incapable of understanding the processes.

Girls can use all this electronic stuff just as good as guys. They *typically* don't get all excited and as involved in it as guys do. But I know a couple girls who know their way around PC's or whatever just as good as any guy I know or better. My apartment's AC went out this weekend, I was like "Grrr.. what do I do?" and my girlfriend fixed it for me!

As for the original poster.. what a tard. It doesn't matter what your opinion of PC is or not - you're in an office, you're offending a coworker, and she was nice to you by not going to upper management or HR and calling you a moron to THEIR face. You don't like the way things work in an office, go find a new job w/o any women.

The "PC Environment" that exists in the corporate world today has gotten way out of hand.

The truth is that sometimes I'm honestly afraid to say hello and make eye contact with a female coworker out of fear it might be construed as harrassment. Ridiculous, but true. :| Women KNOW that they now hold the Trump Card when it comes to "office behavior"; all they have to do is say "I'm offended" and men must apologize and beg forgiveness...what a crock of crap!

An alleged harrassment is immediately followed by an investigation and even if it turns out to be unsubstantiated, you're still looked at "as an offender" and are watched closely...your leash is very short.

I long for the old days.
