When to see The Amazing Spider-Man 2 lat night, the imax ticket was $15, popcorn was $9 and a soda filled mostly with ice was $5.

While the movie was enjoyable, the seats were not, teenagers texting and taking selfies was equally annoying. Person next to me probably hasn't taken a bath in a while, he smelled like sour pickles.

My movie experience would rate a 4 out of 10.

Always ask for no ice.

I always go Sunday morning 10/11 am show for $5. Maybe 3-5 other people in the theater unless it's an overhyped movie which will make it more like 25 people. Eat before or after the show instead of snacking inside. If you really have to, buy a cup of coffee for ~$4.

Win.

(Oh, and AMC around here is always $5 on weekdays before 5pm, but that's kind of hard to go to unless I don't work that day)

I don't like theatres. Factoring cost into everything else, the best I can hope for is 3/10 experience, but it isn't usually that good. I don't like paying to go to someone else's uncomfortable house, paying for food, and not being able to pause the movie.

I haven't been out to see a movie in over 10 years, and I'd be fine with never seeing another movie in a theatre.
I agree, I went out to see that last Godzilla mess and wish I hadn't.

Was the first one I'd went out for in probably over 10 years.

i haven't gone to the theater since i finished my ht. the experience at home is simply better than going out to see a movie. i can make cocktails, recline in leather seats, and not pay more than $1.59 to redbox for my wife and i to watch a movie. i might go see godzilla in the theater though, looks awesome.

last movie in the theater was when iron man 3 was out.
I wouldn't bother with Godzilla in a theater myself personally, I got sucked into that one.

I didn't think was worth it myself.
