I can't even begin to tell you how upset I am with AT&T Broadband right now but at least I got it up and running here in Seattle, no thanks to attbi......

Suffice it to say that with over 8 hours invested between calls to customer care and gettting disconnected, and waiting to chat with support after starting as number 1489 in the que(for worse than worthless info as it turns out...) I just happened to stumble on to something that worked(even though the Tech I chatted with SPECIFICALLY said it didn't matter...)

In Win98, on the identification tab I changed Computer name: to the first part of my @home email addy(eg. JDoe@home.com--->JDoe), and Workgroup: to @attbi.com.

Voila, up and running.

And very pissed off!!!:|:|:|

I Hope this may help a few folks out there

I'm pleased to say that ATTBI is up and running in north central Montana..

dial up was killing me.

Back up and running in Pittsburgh!! Dial up really stunk, even for just a few days. I never thought I would have to say this, but I was an AOL loser...I mean user for 4 days and that was 4 days too many.
But it was free😀
