Your Must Haves! PS3

So yesterday was my birthday. Yay Me! and I recieved a new 160 GB PS3. I also got Dead Rising 2 and have been having a blast with it. I am wondering what are some must haves from your PS3 Library?

I am generally a PC gamer so any cross platform FPS style games I tend to prefer on PC so no PS3 Halo/Gears wannabes.

Currently on my list are:
NCAA Football (I don't know which year or when they release @_@)
GT5 (In 3 weeks of course)
Little Big Planet (heard its great)

What else should I be looking for?

God of war collection, god of war 3
Uncharted 1 & 2
Killzone 2 & 3
Little big planet: GAME OF THE YEAR EDITION(Lots of cool extras)
Resistance 1 & 2? Maybe?
Metal Gear Solid 4

Flower (PSN).
So far I've liked Ratchet & Clank, but I'm not that far in.
A lot people seem to love Demon's Souls but I've yet to open my copy so I can't offer my opinion.
I really like Valkyria Chronicles but the audience for it is probably more limited than most other recommendations. Give the demo a try first.

If you don't have an xbox and love fighters I'd give Blazblue a look.

I have no PS3, but I'd say Super Stardust HD is a must have.

Demon's Souls looks very interesting but I haven't played it.

Another vote for the God of War series.

I just bought Uncharted 1 and am playing it. I also have NCAA 11 for my 360 and I can tell you, that's the year you want.

DEMON'S SOULS! The best game this gen, IMO.

Besides that, I also like:

Valkyria Chronicles
Uncharted 1/2
inFamous
Ratchet and Clank
God of War series

I still don't see what the big draw of demon's souls was. I tried playing it and got through a number of stages and I have no desire to go back. I think the biggest issue for me was that you really have to rely on guides to make sure you got everything in a stage, built your character properly, and get through certain boss battles.

Uncharted 2
Trine
MGS4

Just a heads up, Trine is also available on the PC. I could see merits for getting it on either platform, but just figured you should know there's a choice.

I think the big draw is the difficulty and depth. I'm guessing something along the line of it requires more effort (at least in planning, as you said) than a game like God of War, so beating a level feels more rewarding.
Of course, this wont apply to everyone, but that's how I reckon many see it.

Good amount suggestions guys.

Grabbing NCAA 11 I think as ICF suggested.
Also God of War 3, Uncharted 2 (Is 1 a must have to play 2?).

On the fence about Demon's Soul. It seems similar to God of War 3 but as was stated a bit more advanced?

I think I'm going to check out some of these demos before purchase.

Demon's Souls is nothing like God of War 3. The only similarities are that they're both in 3rd person, and that's where it ends. Demon's Souls has very little story, and you're pretty much free to tackle most stages in any order you choose. It's pretty difficult, and requires very precise reactions and timing to succeed at... so more in common with Ninja Gaiden in the difficulty (but not the speed). God of War 3 is very fast paced and combo based, as well as completely linear.

It's hard to describe, but rest assured that people who like one will not necessarily like the other. They're completely separate genres and game types.

NCAA Football (I don't know which year or when they release @_@)

Just so you're properly informed at the beginning of your console gaming career, the latest EA NCAA Football game releases typically in the second week of July every year. You didn't mention Madden, but just so you know, it's typically the second week of August every year.

Thank you very much. I know my brother used to be a huge Madden fan and he would get the newest Madden every Christmas. ie Madden 11 would be this Christmas. But I was never quite sure when it actually released.

Definitely MGS4, Uncharted (Uncharted 2 is cool but not as much fun as Uncharted 1, imo).
Red Dead Redemption
UFC Undisputed 2010 is really fun to play with friends.

Really? That's no good... I just beat the first uncharted and was looking forward to getting a little more out of 2. Maybe not "more" so much as no more undead BS in the story because it's popular.

God of War 1 was not "combo based" but "mashing based". Not even fast paced, really, compared to something like Ninja Gaiden. It mattered very little how you attack in GoW, as long as you dodge and block correctly. Has this changed for GoW3?

I thought the 2nd was better overall (story, gameplay, etc...).
