Your most valued possesion.

Although I'm very fond of my computer, that would not come first. I would have to say collection of pictures hanging on the wall in my room. Each one has a memory associated with it.

My computer is important to me, but I've been into music longer than I have been into computers. I guess I would have to go with my anniversary edition Bach Stradivarius trumpet.

Probably my guitar. 1977 Gibson SG limited. twin humbucks (one zebra), sweetass sound.

EDIT: I should add in my grannpa's WWII Army dress uniform (master sergeant).

You mean your Dingaling? I constantly play with my dingaling. I remember the great days of crossing turtle creek, clutching my dingaling.

Well, since I don't consider my wife a "possession", I'd say the 8" bladed bowie knife that my grandfather hand-made while in the Navy during WWII.

amish

Hmm. Assuming "possession" means a physical object:

1. My acoustic Guitar ("Celebrity" cutaway acoustic-electric. Made by Ovation...kinda like a Fender Squire) Been with me almost 15 years now, thru some of the best and worst times of my life. Always says exactly what I want her to and only complains when I break her G String. 😉

2. My Grandfather's Pocket watch. Old fob-style. Solid gold. Only worth about $500, but it's not the monetary worth that makes it special. It's the pictures in my mind I see: I see him as a young man, in that 1940's "Zoot Suit" type outfit with his gold pocket watch in the vest pocket....makes me teary-eyed.

3. My Grandfathers' WWI medals. 'Nuff said.

In order:
My piano (it's not a great one, just a Kawai upright, but I have a sentimental attachment to it)
my oboe (unlike the piano, it's a VERY nice one)
All my music (both my music books and manuscript paper with my own music scribbled on it)

yeah, I'm a fan of music. 🙂

By the way, the title of this thread is a ben folds five song. 🙂

Don't know if you could call him a possession, but if so, it'd have to be my puppy. If not him, then my camera. It's the only way I can fully express myself 🙂

ha ha ha.. .that's a good one... I almost spew my coke all over the keyboard.... now my co-workers are looking at me funny.

oh yeah , I'd grab my cats first if my house is on fire.

u mean most valuable to myself (sentimental), or most valuable in the market (monetary)? to myself... prolly family pictures. in the market... prolly my kidney.

my mom and my dog are the two things irreplceable in my life. Otherwise, it'd probably be the few photos i have of friends and family.

-=bmacd=-

The only thing I can't replace is my kids. My wife, who is 36, is on the virge of being replaced by two 18 year olds anyway. 😉
