I was just looking at the Columbia House DVD Talk thread and realized I DO NOT OWN A SINGLE DVD, even though I have a DVD player and a DVD-ROM.

So give me your lists of DVDs I must have. I am definitely gonna buy American Pie 2 and The Matrix but besides that, what else?

Also, why the hell is the "Entrapment" DVD so popular? Ive seen the movie on cable several times but what value does the DVD add to it?

I dont have a real list, but if I see one I want I buy it. No wonder I have 150+ DVD's.

Although my definite must have is "Usual Suspects."

Admit it, you wanted to pause, rewind, & zoom in on that ass when you were in the theater.

These are the DVD's I own. I consider every one really good (I don't buy DVD's unless they are great. Don't have enough money to waste on ones that are only ok).

Requiem for a Dream
Pi
Memento
The Matrix
Platoon
Braveheart
Taxi Driver

Must haves. hmmm. let's see:

Godfather Collection
Memento
Fight Club
... well actually any movie you really like and would not mind watching again.

i find that i like all kinds of movies but preffer watching again only a few of them and then only after a period of time has passed so that i may find new nuances and ideas the second or third time i watch them. i personally love having: the professional, the big blue, requiem for a dream, etc...

I don't waste my time with buying DVD movies unless they are unbelievably great cuz i dont watch em all that often. Mainly I buy concert DVDs and stuff like that, but these are the ones I make an exception for: (or will in the future)

Gladiator(quietly becoming my favorite movie ever)
Braveheart
Private Parts

and a few which are not must haves, but I like:

Oasis, Familiar to Millions concert (unbelievable concert, extra DVD content is also top notch)
Smashing Pumpkins greatest videos

K. Smith movies ROCK!

The commentary is cool.

I own about 150 DVD's (I bought MY DVD PLayer because DOGMA was unavailible for VHS SALE:Q)

Never looked back

Swingers is a great movie.
The Extras on SW EP1 are pretty good.

I own the Charlie Brown Holiday specials.

TOY STORY has incredible color and extras!

Disney movies are always good. (if there is a two disc set for a movie you like GET IT as opposed to the light version)

Gladiator is a good flick

The critrion of Armageddon is also SWEET!:D

The DVD of Patton is quite nice. And I also like the DVD of Casablanca. M*A*S*H will be out on DVD soon too (the movie, not the TV series).
