What is your ISP History?

AOL? Compuserve? MSN? Yahoo? Verizon? Comcast? Cox? Prodigy?

Mine would be..

Compuserve--> AOL--> MSN--> Verizon (broadband) --> Comcast --> Verizon --> (going to be comcast, again, or maybe even Verizon FIOS)

I had this thing called net something in the early 1990s.

I forgot what it was called.

Someone help me out?

Netgear?

I forgot..

AOL in '94, then BOSS (local ISP), then some other local ISP I forget the name of, then back to BOSS, then back to AOL cuz they offered satellite broadband, then Charter when cable finally came to our area, and finally Comcast when I moved to Seattle.

Let's see if I can remember them.

AOL--->GNN--->AOL--->Ameritech.net--->Stratos.net--->Adelphia Cable(current)

There was one between Ameritech.net & Stratos.net that I can't remember the name of. I was only on for two or so days, terrible service. I think it may have been mindspring.

parents ISDN line (6th grade - 8th grade) => AOHell (8th grade) => Comcast (8th grade - present)... Sure last year i was on campus network which gave me like 6 MB/sec, and now I'm on SBC 3mbit at my apartment (and I think SBC blows cuz Comcast is hella faster at home).

Various local ISP's -> AOL (first flat monthly fee provider) -> US West (dsl) -> TCI@Home (cable) -> ATTBI -> Comcast

Local ISP 14.4k > Qwest 14.4k > AOL 56k > Comcast 1.5Mbps > College Dorm 45Mbps > Comcast 6Mbps > SBC DSL 1.5Mbps

Local ISP 28.8k (iD Communications) > Local ISP 56K (same one) > Local ISP DSL 640K down (same one again)> Comcast 4Mbps > Comcast 8Mbps

AOL -> MSN -> FREE DIAL UP ISPs (during the 1999-2000 period) -> Earthlink (they had a digital camera deal) -> Telocity DSL (static IP, loved it) -> SBC DSL (present, since last ~3-4 yrs)

Nconnect (local ISP) > Charter Cable > SBC DSL (bane of my existance) > Charter Cable > TDS Metrocom/Charter Cable (redundancy)

AOL -> Erols -> Earthlink -> NetZero -> Bell Atlantic -> Cavalier Online -> Comcast@Home -> Road Runner -> Cox@Home -> Cox.net -> Charter.Net
