Your house/dorm/office building is on fire, what do you save?

My papers and cards and stuff. I dun wanna get in line at government offices to reaply for those kinda thigns.

Then money and sh1t like that.

Maybe comp. 🙂 Na... I'd go save the cute girl. 🙂

Brag and Moan: How come it says go back and take out the forbidden word and when I do, and click on reply, it won't let me reply?!

I would throw my computer around my shoulder (gear grip is on it) and grab my lcd and take off. 🙂

myself, my car keys, my wallet, my laptop and whatever else i could grab in my hands before they got burned.

if i was at home and not at school, i'd save my pets too.

Power down the tower and haul it off, after saving my lizards of course. If I had time I'd probably try to get my N64 and GameCube as well.

Most important is myself and my lizards though. The comp, etc, are all insured and can be replaced.

In the dorms, I'd grab my laptop Headphones and head out. They're the only things of real value since clothes are heavy and bulky. If i had a wireless network card, I'd head over to the student center and post about it😛

wife and child 1st.......animals next....jewelery....pictures....computer....then whatever else i had time for...

me myself and I
those who are talking about bringing their computers are joking I hope....
You can always get another computer

my wallet, personal documents, and financial papers.. every item i actually own is insured.. and i'd rather lose all my items and just get a check back for teh amount of stuff i owned...

I had a house fire two years ago next month, and all the people that think they are going to take their computers with them have their heads up their bums. Especially the guy who was worried about powering everything down correctly. The fire in my house was across the house, in the room diagonal to where I was at the time, and the only thing I thought about was getting my ass out and making sure my family wasn't far behind.

It doesn't even cross your mind to take anything out the doors with you other than your own ass. I didn't have shoes on my feet, and my two year old nephew (at the time) didn't have a shirt on. You don't think about sh!t like that when your house is on fire.

The people talking about taking thier important documents, wallets, ID's, keys, etc etc are in their right mind. You have to be able to get yourself to the store to buy yourself new clothes, food, you have to be able to pay for a hotel those first three or four nights.

presuming all people and animals are out of the building, i'd want to salvage the photos first. All the rest could burn as far as i care, so long as i could save those. Material possessions can be replaced. The pictures of my great-grandparents and such cannot.

if you're using the computer when the fire starts, and your computer happens to be a notebook, i think you could save the notebook ... i live in a small apartment, unless if it's an explosion or anything huge like that, i say i should be able to save some small items.

my massive pr0n... err.. nm.

i'm actually prepared for these situations. i have a bag with all important documents, cash, and cd w/ scanned photos, personal info, docs, etc.
