For xp home users, how the hell do you live without the task manager(or did MS throw that into a service pack update)?

Right click on the task bar. It has always been there in all versions of Windows XP Home that I've ever seen. Heck, just hit CTRL-ALT-DEL.

You werent specific enough.
DOS 5.0 was nice, we still use some of its commands even now.
But 6.22 was the shiznet!

And for all the nix lovers:
Linux is Linux, it is not DOS.
Unix is Unix. It is also NOT DOS.
Mac is Mac. Not unix. The similarities are trivial. I can put a mac skin on WinXP and mess with a lot of peoples heads. Interface really does matter unless you are a programmer. Then kernel is more important.

XP Pro.

I'm looking foward to the retail release of XP-64. I wasn't able to take advantage of the beta testing (just got my AMD64 recently), but if the benchmarks show a noticeable performance bump in the final version, I'll be all over it (also assuming they don't price it for corporate/server usage).

Always a pleasure to find a member living up to their respective username.

DOS is how I learned about 50% of what I know about computers today.

I'd say XP has been my favorite. 2000 has also been great. NT 4 Server/WS has alwasy been stable for me.

Every other Windows release has sucked.

Windows Me is the biggest abortion of an OS that MS ever put out.

So most people on these forums would agree that XP is M$ best and ME is their worst.

That's what happens when you don't know what the fvck you're doing.
