Yeah. 2kPro is rock solid stable. I actually got a *gasp* BSOD last week while trying to convert DivX to DVD using Nero, and it was the first time I'd seen one in more than a year (and then I was burning in new memory and playing with faster-than-spec timings, so that doesn't really count). Turned out the culprit was a corrupt DivX file.Originally posted by: Zugzwang152

I hate M$ with the white-hot intensity of Michael Jackson's skin bleaching cream, but even I have to admit that XP is pretty damn good. My machine runs 24/7 and I can go weeks between crashes or reboots. With the older versions of Windows I could measure crash intervals in minutes.![]()

XP Pro, not XP Home. I haven't played with the 64-bit edition yet, either.
It's crap don't bother, I tried the eval version from their website and it did nothing but crash on my laptop.
x64?
Which build? The older build did that...I've been using the newr build for a few months now, and haven't had a single problem yet. (using it as my main os)
Yeah the older one, I'm not sure if you can download the newer build as an eval version.

Er, 2000 is basically a more stable version of 98SE. They even look pretty similar.

no
win2000 is version 5 of the NT kernel
98SE is just another win95/dos clone
