Anything by Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Ryan Adams, Elliot Smith or Nick Drake.
Need to know how to finger-pick though....

Why not some good old fashioned Motown? Some Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, James Brown, Smokey Robinson and the Miracles, The Temptations, The Platters, The Spinners, The Delfonics, The Four Tops... there's a few hundred good songs to choose from.

since this thread didnt die as quickly as expected, my serious vote is for alice in chains. their unplugged set was awesome, so playing 'nutshell', 'rooster', trying to think of more, listen to the cd, great acoustic set.

I can play a good minute or so of that (the SRV version). It's so cool.

John Michael Montgomery (the country singer) actually closed out his concert with that, Tightrope, and Pride and Joy, and did a really good job of it.
