I didn't get a PC until late in the 90s, so I missed a lot. But Final Fantasy II for the Super Nintendo was a life-changing event for me. I also played the heck out of the Wing Commander and Tecmo Super Bowl games on SNES. On Genesis, I played a LOT of Shadowrun.
 
Six pages and no mention of Homeworld?

That game fucked people's heads so deep it wiped out memories.
 
My PC gaming during the '90s was quite limited, I was still mostly a console gamer back then, but I did play the following on PC often enough:
