i guess if you're dying in 45, you better not come here, or you'd just die.
hypothermia starts once your body temperature goes below 95F.
it's normally 98.6F.
that's not much margin. :hmm:
beanie/scarf/gloves - just cover everything up and layer up with down jacket + sweater + hoodie/fleece. it's like 20 degree in NYC.
Here in AL, anything below 60F is considered "cold".
Wimps! It's 1F here and I'm going to take the dogs to the park now and then go running afterwards.
17 F here. Layer up, sports fans and DON'T PUT YOUR TONGUE ON THE LIGHT POLE.
Hypothermia at 95F? Maybe a heat stroke, but not hypothermia lol.
lets talk about this again in july and 118 outside, while you guys are bitching about 95
(and dont bring humidity into it, because 95 that "feels like 102" is still less than 118 that "feels like 117" )
My issue with this is that take 45 and subtract 85 degrees (we can hit -40 wind chill every once in awhile).
Now take the 95 degrees and add 85 to it. That's 180 degrees. Little bit of a difference there. 95 is closer to the top of the "bearably hot" scale than 45 is on the "bearably cold" side.
Regardless, I hate any kind of heat over 70 if I'm not on a lake. That's the only option in weather 90-110. At least with the cold you can bundle up. Heat crushes my will to live because there is nothing I can do but stay inside. I was in Dallas last July and was praying for death. If I stayed outside during the day I probably would have gotten it!![]()
