Do you think all of the regular posters here would be capable of sitting in a decent sized room talking with each other in a civilized manner or do you think it would just be complete chaos? I could see it happening.

Just don't invite the P&N folks! If it's the ATOT crew, all we'll do in take turns introducing some topic, and some will just ignored, and others laughed at. Someone might go emo on us about girl or friend troubles. Mostly, it'll just be real life neffing.

Believe it or not, but a lot of us are actually pretty regular people that go to work, enjoy normal things, and can carry on a conventional conversation outside of the intratubes.
I've done a number of ATOT "meetups" and outside of a few people did the forums even come up as signifcant part of the conversation. Mostly it's just getting together, grabbing some drinks and shooting the breeze.

I can just imagine us in a big AA-type circle. Hanging out. Someone would say something, then mosh would reply nicely, then someone would ask mosh for pictures, someone from outside of the conversation would randomly scream "FAIL" and everyone would laugh. It would be quiet for a little and then E= would try to start saying something and we'd all simultaneously scream "STFU". Then someone else will say something and a few minutes later they'd be made fun of by someone with a similar story that is a little more crazy.

Complete silence at first. The people would start gravitating into cliques; the SUV-hating bicycle people over there, the flat-tax guys in the corner and the YAGT folks (if they're invited at all) would be competing with ZaneJohnson in the center of the room for everyone else's attention. Eventually Oldsmoboat would stab ZJ, the cops would show up and the whole room would shift into two cop/anti-cop groups who would then duke it out.
Later, we'd all get hammered together and people would start lying about their incomes and make up a reasons they didn't feel like driving the Rolls and arrived in the Civic instead.

In all seriousness, I don't think people would all act retarded in person. This is internet where we don't have to show faces- which allows us to not to bite our tongues and say stupid stuff for fun.
In a room, all of us IRL, I think we'd rather be civil and quite organized. I'm willing to bet some of the loud mouth idiots are rather quiet/scared/reserved in person.

Ned would sit in a corner grumbling, then launch into a full-fledged rant about how the world is going to hell.
Pickles would let everyone know some fact about a vegetable that everyone has known since they were 5 (did you know lettuce comes in more than one variety? It's true!)
Ns1 would wait until someone started telling a story, then tell the exact same story from the other perspective. Everyone would stare blankly.
Mosh would walk in and everyone would demand pictures.
Saulbadguy would keep everyone enthralled with a joke that took 3 hours to tell, then forget the punchline.
Everyone would order 72 oz steaks, then argue about what constituted bulk.
Icebergslim would teach us how to be men by hitting on every woman in the place, and one very convincing transvestite.
Koing would violently bodyslam E=MC2. Everyone would cheer.

I'd imagine its a few people (not a ton would show up) who slammed a few drinks at the outset, got into their professor stages fairly quickly, and talked about a lot of things but not ATOT specifically. You know, a normal group of people hanging out.
