<------- scratches "learning to snowboard" off the "Things to try" list.

I broke my arm and my wrist the first (and last) day I tried to snowboard. This is after having skied for 10+ years.

Nobody told me you aren't supposed to stick your arms out to break your fall when you are going face-first into the slope. It probably also would have helped if I hadn't gone up the lift to a black diamond on my first ever run down the mountain...

Yeap. 2nd time back after the knee and/or finger (both still lingering mind you)
I set a pick and this big bruiser of a guy just kinda hit me right. It knocked the wind outta me at the time, but it hasn't gotten 1 bit better in 14 days. I admit I didn't go to the doctor though... but cracked/bruised/whatever they can't do a thing for it.

That sucks man. Hope you heal soon!

Might want to lay off the contact sports for a while.

that sucks man, but to put it into perspective, a 35yo friend of mine had quadruple bypass surgery a couple weeks ago and still holds a pillow to his chest most of the time. Sneezing and coughing makes it feel like his breasbone is going to explode out of his chest, and all he can do is hold that pillow...
