Freaking 100 years later and you still can't arrange icons the way you want. I have pics of someone that I'd like to use as my wallpaper and every damned pic is covered by these stupid ass icons I can't move out the way.

Hell, there are still idiots that would buy an iPhone with poo all over it without hesitation...you should have no problem selling it.

Or you can just sell it, no poo required.
 
i never understood the fascination of wallpapers on computers and phones. i've never been using either where i just want to stair at my background and do nothing. if i wanted to do that, i'd just be picture viewing.

the background on my computers is whatever the default is for osx and just a black screen on my windows machine.

Stupid VPN at work only works on iOS and I gave my Nexus 4 away. I am super tempted to get that huge ass SONY from Google Play...lol

Exactly. What is this, 1998 where people set dumb ass backgrounds on their PC and change their mouse arrow to a purple dinosaur to be "unique."

Need some clarification. Are you wanting to rearrange the order of icons?

Or are you wanting to rearrange the layout of icons (e.g. icons only on the outer frame, leaving the center blank/clear of icons)?

I know you can do #1. Don't think there's an inherent way to do #2.

Icons on a screen is about the most easy-to-use interface possible. There is a reason Apple sticks to it. If it was editable in the way you want people would lose icons.

If you don't like it, well welcome to the reason why a chunk of us only use Android.

Custom wallpapers are awesome. If I see somebody with a half-naked anime chick on their desktop, I know to disregard everything they say.
 
What I did was set up my icons to appear on the second page, leaving a blank first page that I can swipe to if I want to show off my background.

I like my wallpaper 🙁 I like seeing a picture that reminds me of my old home city every time I turn on my computer (plus, even though I have dual monitors, only one is ever totally dominated by a maxed out window unless I'm playing a game. my right monitor has my maxed out web browser while the left one tends to either be open to the desktop or have windowed folders/other applications depending on what I'm doing)

Actually I don't really give a shit either. The first page on my phone is empty because I screwed up a setting during an itunes sync or something. I just think it's looks better when I say I meant to do it.

a realtor client of mine just got the s5 the other night. met her for a photoshoot and she immediately says 'i am in love with this phone' - i'm like what did you have before - iphone.

she said she spent all last night learning and playing with it and is blown away. also, she said the voice recognition is night and day between the two systems. the accuracy on her S5 was very impressive to her.
