Dont forget home improvement

I still watch Home Improvement when it comes on, Tim Allens best stuff imo.

wonder years was alright.

The best part about Home Improvement was Tim's neverending harassement of Al. HAhahahha AL.

Come to think of it, that show was so white. I never saw anyone of color in that show.

Uggghhheh?

i guess im pretty much the only person that couldent stand the wonder years

Watch it again as an adult is even more hilarious. I didn't realize how badly kevin constantly owns himself in every episode.

Whoa, people here actually watched Boy Meets World? That show was godawful. Same with Full House, what a POS that was. At least Saved by the Bell was so over-the-top stupid it was funny and somewhat watchable.

Wonder Years FTW!

wonder years is probably one of the best shows of all time.

qft!

Ok, I admit it, I'm a perv, and I'm going to hell, but I must confess I rather enjoyed watching Winnies' character *develop*. 😉

I was the right age to enjoy it appropriately 8)

Scrubs kind of does that right now.

exactly what I was thinking. You don't really notice it, but if you watch a current episode and then go back and watch a season one episode it's crazy how much the characters have grown up.

Roseanne was another, not only did the kids grow up a lot but you see a big difference in Roseanne and Dan. Jackie not so much 😛

MASH IS the best show of all time.

Fixed 😛

Really fixed this time.......

Wonder Years, while a quaint, little show, is no match for what is probably the greatest sitcom of all time.......11 full seasons, the finale that drew the largest audience of all time.....stories fuller, better written, better directed, more compelling than any Wonder Year episode.......

No comparison........

No doubt... one of my biggest nostalgia. I find myself relating to the guy all the time. Man I still remember the final episode... got me all welled up.

Kevin Arnold - The Narrator: Things never turn out exactly the way you planned. I know they didn't with me. Still, like my father used to say, 'Traffic's traffic, you go where life takes you' and growing up happens in a heartbeat. One day you're in diapers, the next you're gone, but the memories of childhood stay with you for the long haul. I remember a time a place, a particular fourth of July, the things that happened in that decade of war and change. I remember a house like a lot of houses, a yard like a lot of yards, on a street like a lot of other streets. I remember how hard it was growing up among people and places I loved. Most of all, I remember how hard it was to leave. And the thing is, after all these years I still look back in wonder.

And he says, "I'll be right there, son."

Man.
I was a kid during the time The Wonder Years was set in. I was much younger than Kevin Arnold was, so I didn't have the kind of experiences that he did. I was only vaguely aware of the Vietnam War. Didn't get to see much hippie stuff either. I do remember some of the music and some of the cars. I lived in a duplex on a quiet street in the suburbs. I remember the Good Humor guys coming around in the summer. Good old days.

We moved to another suburb and I then got to really experience the 70's. I had lots of fun then. Awesome cartoons on Saturday morning. Scary movies from the 50's and 60's in the afternoon. Hanging out with friends.

Then I went to high school in the 80's. Had fun then too and the best music ever.

Now I post on Anandtech. 😛

I hate MASH. With a passion. A passion equal to the heat of 1,000 suns. Suns on fire.

The kids in South Park went from third to fourth grade and it only took them about 9 years. Par for the course in American Public Schools wouldn't you say?

How can this thread exist with no Fresh Prince or Cosby Show? I still watch those shows when I pass by them, even though I've seen all the episodes already. I watched a bit of Saved by the Bell and Boy Meets World when I was a kid, but I don't remember any of it. Watched Home Improvement though, that show is awesome.

There are still shows like that, and while not exactly on the point Scrubs has the same effect.

I also miss cartoons that don't suck. What ever happened to shows like Dexter's Laboratory or Ren and Stimpy (now THERES a show they wouldn't even think about airing for kids anymore)? All That was pretty badass too.

Ah well, at least I have some "back in my day!" ammo.
