At least 12 new releases on PC just this week - and you can't find anything to play? I'm sorry but that's called a piss poor effort.

i RePlayed parts of Thief - DS and DE:IW . . . my 9800xt struggled with both of them [especially DEIW] to get minimal AA/AF . . . with my new x850xt i can crank both the res and the AA/AF - add the "texture packs" and it seems like a new game.Originally posted by: CP5670
I want a new card mainly just to play my existing games at higher settings. There are a couple of big releases on the horizon though. It looks like this year will be a better one for games than 2005 was.
i would have kept playing . . . but then got KotOR II last week and am "hooked" . . . it'll take at least a month or two to finish it.
there is something to be said about a good RPG over [even] a [good] FPS.
btw, i have Sid Meier's [new] Pirates! . . . but it is hard to get "into" . . . i guess it is like the CIV series . . . "addicting"
I really have never played a rpg is this (KotOR II) a good one to start with? Have been playing fear, but must admit to getting a little bored. I can always go back to splinter cell - another game I sort of started. Anyways time for something different.

I generally away from RPG's, but absolutely loved KOTOR - one of my favorite games of all times. II made some leaps, but on the whole, there were awful cuts because Lucas Arts wanted it out by the Holiday season- and while the restoration project is working to put the stuff back in and give the game more plot, the first was still the better game. For me, the plot twist was genuinely stunning./

I should sell you my copy and the steam id I made to go with it. I just never got into that game after I got stuck about halfway thru. I never finished the original HL so I don't know why I expected anything different.Originally posted by: MBrown

Sorry to hijack this thread one more time. I got kotor have began..... I am enjoying it but am finding all those controls somewhat confusing. Is there some basic stuff I can find info on. Such as does it matter how quickly or how often I click the mouse when I want to stab or shoot some evil doer? As I said - I know nothing about this type of game. Took me 5 minutes to get into stealth mode. Must repeat I am (to my surprise) really liking this so far - mellow pace and all.![]()
