Ferrari/Lamborghini/Mclaren consortium responsible for building the powertrain to the following specs:
-5000HP at the wheels
-Midship V16 *AT LEAST 16L*
-Must sound PWNAGE
-However many turbos/superchargers/whatever they need to achieve the above 3 effects
-4WD system that can have the front wheels disconnected both manually and automatically (under certain steering conditions to be determined by the suspension/chassis team)
-A semi-auto transmission with two operable modes: One for everyday driving, one ultra-wide geared for max speed. This will practically require two transmissions.
-Minimal weight. No specific target, but extraneous weight will be DESTROYED.
-Multiple fuel modes - one mode capable of running on pump premium at 20MPG.
-Near silent at highway cruise speed in everyday driving mode
-Can contract whoever is neccessary to get the custom tires this will no doubt require
Body and exterior design team consisting of NASA, Steve Saleen, Chip Foose will be responsible for:
-Supercar styling - for a SEDAN. Four doors. This thing is going to be practical, dammit! Think S7 Sedan.
-DOT legal
-Roof must sit at least as high as a 5series BMW.
-Must be able to get in and out of vehicle in a parking garage
-Must fit in parking space
-Must not look goofy.
-I like black and gold plz.
-Needs some TASTEFUL night lighting.
-Carbon fiber - or even better, find something lighter!
Electronics and software design team consisting of engineers stolen from various tech firms:
-AMD64-based ECU developed jointly with the drivetrain team.
-AMD64-based chassis control unit developed jointly with the chassis/suspension team.
-AMD64-based entertainment system developed jointly with the interior team. Will include: 2000w of highly tuned audio goodness. Rear-seat entertainment system.
Chassis design team picked from Lotus, Mercedes, BMW, Aston Martin, Saleen:
-RECOCKULOUS handling. This thing will be big. It has to be to have 4 seats and this kind of engine. Cornering will naturally not be on the scale of an Elise due to sheer size alone, but it should look unnatural for it's size.
-Luxury mode. Needs to feel "perfect". Whatever the hell perfect feels like, it has to be there.
-Whatever electronic controls neccessary to achieve both of those effects. Naturally they won't be able to happen at the same time.
-Ultra-lightweight.
Interior design team picked from TVR, various custom shops, BMW, Chip Foose, led by *MYSELF*:
-5 seating positions.
-Rear legroom
-Left hand drive
-Leather, wood, metal, carbon fiber
-Pure badassery
-NO FVCKING PLASTIC PARTS!
-Badass night lighting
-Near-perfect acoustic characteristics (or, well, as good as you can get in a car)
-Sound deadener to keep the road noise out - but NOT the engine noise. Audio will be allowed to be heard over the engine by the fact that it's nearly silent when at highway cruise.
Test team, consisting of: Jeremy Clarkson, myself, Lamborghini test drivers, Ferrari test drivers, Porsche test drivers, Lotus test drivers, various racing champions from various racing leagues the world around. Responsible for:
-Being perfectionist assholes and telling everyone else that they cocked something up and to go back and do it again.
Okay, all of that will probably run a bit more than a billion dollars.
