As far as what constitutes my paycheck, I'd rather not go into it. 🙂

The photos you provide have corporate carpet, it's clear they're taken in the sony lab. The equipment in it belongs to Sony, not that it would be a source of pride if all that crap was laying around your house. I've hired and fired plenty of QA people, if you're being paid anything over $45k you should consider yourself fortunate.

Nothing personal, you're clearly engaged in dialogue with mental midgets, it just seems to me arguing with them is equally as bad. (I refer to the banter that weaves itself through this forum and not necessarily toward any individual in this thread.)

I've read through the entire thread... And while I see the amount of exposure/experience Ronin has with/to video cards and what not, i still have 2 questions:

1)Why do you think Nvidia has the better drivers (besides the fact that ATI releases them more frequently in order to correct their errors, according to what you said previously)? I mean what is it, that you find in the drviers that makes them better?

2)In your (I guess porfessional or personal) opinion, if YOU had to pick a single card what is the best card out there right now?
a.(In all cards possible SLI or not)
b.(SLI Excluded; PCIe Only)
c.(AGP only)

edit: Forgot to add... and why?

As much as providing any information, whether inaccurate or otherwise, is simply out of line. Your perception of what you see is up to you. Regardless, I'm sadly disappointed to see a blatant lack of respect from someone who's been around as long as you have.

In addition, your personal work experience, in this discussion, has no bearing on anything. And personally, I could care less. Should I feel fortunate that you have hired and fired people? That you have a baseline (based on whatever information you feel is pertinent) as to what someone doing quality assurance gets paid?

The answer is no to both questions.

then who are the mental midgets ?

The KVM doesn't like USB input, and until I receive the DVI/USB KVM from Belkin that's on order, I prefer having separate mice for each system. There are 4 under the desk, with the center monitor being the primary for all 4, and the left and right ones (in addition to the center) being powered by the 256MB Parhelia in one of those 4 boxes.

Ronin you flaunt your ego to the point where it's perfectly just to question who and what you are. With such winners as "Pipe down, and sit back down in the peanut gallery. When you're able to hang with the big boys, come chat" and "People do don't appreciate hard work can go back to their trailers, where their computer is worth more than their home."

I find your attitude condescending and your replies egocentric. Are your opinions valid when it comes to video issues? Probably, but they're seemingly mired in your opinion of yourself.

The information I posted was extracted in about 20 seconds from your own profile. If you're sensitive to it being posted then I suggest you alter your profile accordingly.

As I said before, your opinion doesn't apply.

As far as ego is concerned, I've earned the right to have one, because I have the knowledge, and the contacts, and the availability. Do I throw it around 100% of the time? No. But I will, and do, when my credibility or the information I provide comes into question.

Your comments, and your attempt at beratement, is lackluster at best, and in the future, should probably be quelched.

I have no reason to provide misinformation to anyone here, and the primary focus for the time I spend here revolves around sharing the information and experiences I have, in an as unbiased manner as I can provide. If that's not acceptable, oh well.

People, with all due respect to your annoying quibbles. please STFU and let the real heavyweight speak: BouZouki come back !

That's funny. I never said you were misleading anyone, quite the contrary. You throw your ego around more than a lottery winner does his new camaro, and are disrespectful when you do it.

It's amusing that a guy so intent on offering his opinions despises others having one of their own. That's not my attempt at berating you btw, that's just my opinion.

Have a great day, I gotta go enjoy the sun while it's still out.

😉

I know, it was really funny while it lasted.

WRT Ronin and his collection: I can't imaging anyone in their right mind would personally own a whole box labeled PS2 controller? and that "office space" looks awfully like testing labs. I remember when I use to work with engineering samples we are not allowed to take the sample from the testing lab. How careless of Intel to let their super rare confidential sample ends up at someone's house (Intel Confidential sticker on one of your machines).
