You better tip the pizza boy when you order for your superbowl games.....

Heh, I used to deliver for Papa Johns in my old '85 BMW 318 POS. After that I ran shifts for a while. Then I moved on to bigger and better things.

EDIT: I have and have had friends who are drivers and they usually get paid ~$8/hr + tips. Usually wait staff is making minimum wage or below.

You got to remember how much of our tips go right back into the car. Usually 25% of my tips go right into the gas tank plus shocks, brakes, tires and tickets. Waiters don't have to deal with any of that and all my waiter friends make more than me after tips.

I always tip.

However we're getting rib kabobs today and they won't deliver to my city even though I'm two blocks from the border. :|

Ordering pizzas is such a ripoff. Why in the world would I pay $8.50 for a medium pizza + $2.00 in tip when I can get a medium supreme Digorno for $3.99 at Food for Less?

Maybe becuase it would taste like a $4 pizza? I like Digornos' but they don't campare to any of the major chains' pizzas.

I really didn't consider that. Mainly because almost all of the pizza places here have company cars.

The pizza delivery people here get paid more than enough, so I don't think they deserve to get tipped. They get extra to cover gas and wear and tear, so its not like thats a big deal. Not to mention that when some of the places are located a block or two away and they still take over an hour to deliver is just pathetic (thus I don't order from those places).

That being said, I do tip them, even though it feels like giving money to a bum cause I know they're just going to buy booze with it (its a college town after all).

delivery charge for pizza hut in my area went up to $1.75 from $0.50. so instead of tipping $3.45 for my $23 order, i tipped only $3. i didnt realize they increased the delivery charge until today hence the tip being short 15%.

Bad thing is, that money is not going to the driver.

I certainly don't think so - I just look liek a big, goofy looking guy 😛

My Bro paid his way through college driving pizza. He has gotten so sick of rich people not tipping him he screw with their food on the way there. Like he'll eat some of their bread sticks, etc.

Also he had his car stolen and totaled this summer, he didn't have commerical insurance. The insurance company decided to pay because my uncle who is a lawyer finally called and talked to them, took them 6 weeks to pay the claim, though. Also the damn pizza chain charged him for the car topper, and the three pizza bags he had in his car, and fired him since he no longer had a car.

Also the wear on a car engine is much worse in the winter time from starting and stopping, so you should tip them more for doing extra damage to their cars.
