Big rims and a MP3 player? The Scion line is an entry level econo car line that's customizeable. Period. You can try to sugar coat it anyway you want to but there's no changing the fact. The tC is by far the most "well off" car in the Scion lineup but it's still an econo car.

Econo car as defined by price, sure. It's a phrase commonly applied to neons to describe quality but I don't think it applies to the scion in that sense. Where there are a few "amenities" the tsx has that the TC does not have available, it's not much beyond leather seats, xenon lights, and a stability control system.

TC
60 mph: 7.4
Standing 1/4-mile: 15.7 sec @ 88 mph

TSX
60 mph: 7.2
Standing 1/4-mile: 15.6 sec @ 91 mph

God damn you're a dumbass moron. People shopping this segment don't look at power as the primary consideration. And it's still faster than your car. So STFU.

Bah, you could mix and match statistics from every website in the world to support your post and you'd still find the two cars at a virtual dead heat. Fact remains for 28K it's a slow car.

Holy sh*t you're even dumber than I thought. Mix and match?? It's from the same damn tester. And if you actually knew dick about cars, you'd see that the difference in trap speed is 3 mph, which means the TSX is pulling away cleanly from your precious TC after the 1/4 mark.

What I meant was I pulled info from another website showing the tC was faster. You pulled from another site showing the TSX was faster. Great. The numbers are statistically insignificant, even by the numbers you pulled. You've got to be retarded not to know this.

I drove an Altima SE-R and the an Accord V6 right after. The Accord's engine doesn't have the feeling of immediate power like the VQ, so it was rather unsatisfying although it is not slow after the RPMs climb. I imagine the TSX would feel even more anemic.

First it's "half second faster" and now it's a "dead heat" and "statistically insignificant". Who's retarded again? You really mean you're the one who's retarded right? I mean you already f*cked up once.

"Yes officer I was smoking crack. Oh wait, I mean no officer I wasn't smoking crack."

Maybe you should flush all that sh*t out of your nose before you make another post. That way you won't be as confused as f*ck.

I'm not sure where you're getting your info, but the TC is not faster than the TSX. If anything, it's the other way around.

acura tsx info
scion tc

With the manual tranny the tc is about 7.5

The tC is a cheap econo car with "amenities". No idiot would even think of comparison shopping a tC with an IS300, TSX, or an entry level Beamer.

Are you kidding me? I guess it's what you define as "amenities"....

The tC is cheap looking, period. The TSX is at least a little stylish.

WTF is going on with the hood on the tC, that's all I want to know.

tC: Curb Weight, lbs. 2905
TSX: Curb Weight, lbs. 3230

And the saddest part is that the tC can't pull away when it's 325 pounds lighter than the TSX.

It's got nearly 40 less horsepower. Similar amount less of torque. What do you expect?

Wow, you are just a bitter little prick aren't you. Can't admit your stupidity.

Yeah, the info I posted showed it to be a half second faster. If you want to use the data you provided, it's what, .2 seconds slower? Average those, and the tC still comes out ahead. Statistically, those numbers don't mean much as cars will vary from one sample to another. But if you wan't to be a stickler, hey, looks like the tC is a winner if you average our data.

Why don't you take a nap and see if you wake up a bit less cranky than a 2 year old.

If I'm a prick, you're a f*cken yeasty dildo. For a true performance test, why don't you tie your sorry ass to the back of your precious TC, have some one drag you around and see how far it takes for your crack smoking head to snap off.

That's not really my point. I was just following the lead of other posters showing that this car is slow for the money.

Again, compared to it's competitors - IS300, entry level Beamers - it's around the same speed. It's not meant to be a frickin G35 or a TL. It's meant to be a refined entry level cruiser. TSX's can be had for about $25K. This retarded argument about faster cars for cheaper is ridiculous. Why don't you throw in a SRT-4, or a 300hp 05 Mustang GT, or a AWD turbo'ed WRx, or any one of a number of other cars I can mention cheaper than a TSX (MSRP) but faster?

I like the tC - I like it as much as a 3. But I will never drive a compact car. I hate small cars. Toyota makes great cars but the Scion line in general has to have had some corners cut. (The xA and xB have so-so to bad initial reliability ratings)

Taking or giving, still makes you a fudgepacker. It's all the same, right? :) I don't "love my tC so much". There are plenty of faults with it. Never denied that. I was simply following the lead of another poster by pointing out the TSX was overpriced for the money. I wasn't saying my car was competition to car shoppers. Learn to fvsking read nitwit.

Sh*t, were you molested by a TSX driver or something?

First it was my car is faster. Then, my car isn't faster. Then, it's something in between.

"yes officer, I was smoking crack, but did not inhale"

Apparently you're full of sh*t for someone to be packing your fudge.

Wow - th p0wn3age is this thread is thick. That said, I'm taking my mom out to test the entire Acura lineup today :D She was looking at a 5-speed Accord EX last week, I'm going to see what she thinks of the TL. If it's too much, we'll try out the TSX ;)
