Says the forums for those devices.

Yes, those are *always* bastions of truth.

It is a giant robot from Japan that is going to ram its mechanical fist in your butt.

If it's a cute or hot robot I might be thrilled.

The apostels will disagree with you on that.
The N1 is also the official devloper phone and supposedly the one that is the most "open" and supposed to get all the updates because it is "stock android".
Only none of those is true. The jailbreaking/rooting situation on the N1 is worse than the iPhone and I am sure people with an N1 that are waiting for carrier approval of some android OS update (e.g. 2.2) are ready to rip Google a new one for their "stock" android experience.

The "apostles" speak for no one but themselves.

Are you even trying to make any sense here?
You can jailbreak the iPhone and restore it to factory ... root an android phone and you void the warranty (see, as an example, the "open" Nexus One)

Many Android phones can be rooted (and unrooted) like flipping a switch.. voiding nothing.

When measuring community support ... yes!
So do you have a point here? Troll?

I am trying to decide what you are: troll or idiot?

Do you research!
troll or idiot ... or BOTH?

... so you agree with everything I said. I am glad.

"Community support" isn't entirely what was being measured, either. You said there weren't any "talented" people working on some Android phones.

I am trying to decide what you are: troll or idiot?

You've already answered this question for yourself, so why do you ask it?

Do you research!

Actually, I have personal experience on my side. The HTC Evo and Samsung Captivate can be rooted/unrooted quite easily.. and it voids nothing.

Keep it civil or end it, I don't care which.

What are we even talking about here now?

Troll goads people by saying "jailbreaking" is easier on android than on iPhone.
Others, including me, provide evidence that it is not.
Troll ignores all evidence and arguments.
Classic example of trolling if you ask me.

Can we get back on topic then?

No, it is not always easier to jailbreak/root on the iPhone than on Android phones. HTC phones are quite easy to root.. Samsung too.

But I'm sorry, I forgot.. anyone who doesn't think the iPhone is the greatest phone ever made *must* be a troll.

I take it you can jailbreak my brand new out of the box iphone4 then? It runs 4.1 and as far as I know the exploit has not been turned into a useable jailbreak yet (untethered).

You will want GreenPois0n for that.
And looks like it will be easier than the 2.2.1 mess on the Nexus One.
