So I'm on a business trip and the hotel I'm staying at gives me a bunch of vouchers for breakfast. I figure it's your typical buffet breakfast and go down in the morning with just my voucher and room key. Low and behold, it's a sit down and get served deal. So when I get the bill at the end, the tip line is staring at me and all I have is a voucher. No cash or card on me. I didn't feel too bad about not tipping this time because the service sucked, but I don't know that I want to keep going back and not tipping. But does the voucher cover the tip? Can someone be expected to tip when they were given a voucher to use to pay? I don't really carry cash anyway and it seems silly to put just the tip on a card. It also adds a lot of hassle for me to tip with my money and then get reimbursed by my company. So what would the ATOT do?
