Bla, bla, bla. If it hadn't been posted, he wouldn't have apologized. If he is sincere, invite the student back to DC at his expense, give the kid a formal public apology, and let the kid interview him. Then, I'd take his apology serious.

The reason I "slander" folks as racist hillbillies is because they are racist hillbillies. I grew up with some of them. Hell, I'm related to some of them. Do you live in a place where you hear Obama referred to as great person publicly or have klan graffiti spray painted on road signs? I'm not making generalizations about some phantom group of people. There are racists here, in this county, who are by and large conservative and hillbillies. And I'll tell you, you're doing a pretty good job of reinforcing some of the generalizations about folks from Texas. Jackass.

Wait, let me get this straight. I have a problem with you making broad generalizations about people with whom you disagree (i.e. calling those that disagree with this congressman conservative redneck hillbillies). You then turn that around into something about me reinforcing stereotypes of Texans. What the hell generalization would that even be? That we don't like people making slanderous assumptions about others? Really? That's where you want to go with this?

If that is the generalization I am "reinforcing" then I guess I'm OK with that.

I stated that genuine conservative racist hillbillies have probably been harassing the guy because there are actual conservative racist hillbillies in much of his district. I didn't generalize anyone with anything. However the generalization you keep reinforcing is that Texans can't comprehend the written word. Congrats.

Probably the shit all the conservative racist hillbillies in this district have been giving him.

Thus we see the progressive viewpoint - no matter what a Democrat politician does, it's somehow someone else's fault, and anyone disagreeing with a Democrat politician is automatically a conservative racist hillbilly.

BTW - the Washington Post says it's not an assault, it's a "hug". I'm guessing these kids didn't want to identify themselves to avoid the Representative using the power of government to "hug" their tax returns, "hug" their school loans, "hug" their liberal professors, etc.

Ok, quick logic lesson for you retards.

People who are conservative racist hillbillies disagree with Rep. Etheridge.
People who are not conservative racist hillbillies disagree with Rep. Etheridge.
Therefore, not everyone who disagrees with with Rep. Etheridge is a conservative racist hillbilly.

But don't let logic sway you from your partisan douchebaggery.

So not everyone who disagrees with Etheridge is a conservative racist hillbilly, but only those who are conservative racist hillbillies are responsible for Etheridge's actions. Got it.

I'm betting those who disagree with Etheridge and aren't conservative racist hillbillies have "D" after their name and those who disagree with Etheridge and are conservative racist hillbillies have "R" after their name.

What, no beers? I thought it took beer for a "real" apology?

Wow, to accuse somebody of "partisan douchebaggery" while continuing to just generalize about conservative racist hillbillies is sort of ironic.

To call you a pompous liberal asshat would have a much higher degree of specificity than what you generally label others as. Therefore perhaps at this point forward everybody should call you that, what do you think?

You would guess that since you are the one who apparently can only think in generalizations.

There you go reinforcing two more generalizations for Texans, false bravado and stubborn denial about being wrong. You're doing your home state proud cowboy.

Moon, he's a democrat. They don't believe people should have guns. Right? Or maybe that's the public shouldn't have them.

I think the lesson here is quite clear, keep guns out of the hands of progressive Democrats.

I don't think that word means what you think it means. There is no false bravado - calling people who potentially disagree with you and/or the politician you prefer as "conservative racist hillbillies" is the behavior of a pompous ass. It's not bravado per se, rather more simply I think you are acting like an ass.

Secondly what exactly am I wrong about? Wrong about your acting like an ass? Wrong that you are generalizing people?

You are obviously somebody that likes to attack people for no apparent reason other than for the sake to do so. You labeled people "racist hillbillies" for no apparent reason. I called you out on it then without knowing a thing about me, you attacked the fact that I live in Cleveland. Then I mentioned I am ultimately from Texas you then attacked that - again with very little, if any, apparent reason. In fact your innate desire to attack me on where I am from and live goes to further provide evidence of your need to generalize people and insult them based on those generalizations.

This is going around in circles because some congressman in a video assaulted a student and you are hell bent on blaming what you perceive as "conservative redneck hillbillies" as the source of the problem. As an extension of that you just can't possible tolerate any belief in the wrongness of your thinking. Get over it dude, the congressman was a dick to some students.

No, no. The Congressman was forced to be a dick to some students by conservative redneck hillbillies. He's the real victim here. Just another victim of the vast right wing conspiracy that somehow controls all Democrats' actions. We know this because pompous liberal asshat has said it, and further, that anyone doubting his partisan douchebaggery is obviously a partisan douchebag.

Assuming it went down as the two videos (each of the two kids in the video were filming) portrayed, he should be charged, censured, and forced (and if not, then voted) out of office:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZKie0Z4kaw
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y1BC34jBVo0

Not exactly sure why the students didn't identify themselves or their schools, if it's for a student project... but that's irrelevant and has no bearing on the fact that he had no right to lay hands on either of them.

You don't understand why they didn't identify themselves?

#1 BECAUSE THEY DON'T FUCKING HAVE TO. That congressman has no "RIGHT" to know who they are. That's total bullshit. Does he think he's the Fuhrer or something and has the right to demand papers from people just because he's a congressman?

#2 Because they would get in DEEP SHIT for no reason. Why? Because he would contact their parents, their schools, and regardless of the facts they'd get in major trouble. Because he's a 'congressman'. They'd likely get suspended, and their parents would probably go ballistic. I'm certain he'd say that he was being harassed and stalked, etc etc.

They should have dialed 911 and pressed charges for assault. He had no god damn right to touch them.

Look, you started this by putting words in my mouth and calling me a jackass. I said conservative racist hillbillies have probably pushed him over the edge. Because there are actual, tangible, genuine conservative racist hillbillies in this district. I know there are because I fucking live here and know some personally. They are conservative AND racist AND hillbilly and they aren't shy about any of that in the right company. No Hyperbole, no exaggeration, no generalization. You have to be beyond retarded not to understand this because I keep explaining it as simply as humanly possible.

Perhaps if he gets "pushed over the edge" so easily (by his own constituents no less), he is unfit to serve as an elected public official representing the people he detests so much.
